There is a valve that stops hot coolant from entering the heater box. It is probably stuck open. murf427

SOURCE: My 2004 Mazda MPV AC does not seem to be working

My 2004 MPV was just diagnosed with a corroded aluminum line to the rear cabin air-con unit. It cost me $50 to get the unit leak-checked. Also got a $700 estimate to replace the line.

SOURCE: 2004 Mazda6 AC blowing warm air

too much freon is the same as not enough freon

Have an 04 mazda6 as well, AC seems to be the cars weakness. It takes 15-20 minutes till my car is ina driveable condition (Phoenix, AZ)

Take it in for a tune up, but I doubt the AC will be any better

SOURCE: 2000 Mazda Protege LX AC starts cold, blows "vapor", then warms

Sure take your buddy with you when you go so he can drive you away while they fix it but you do the talking with your buddy standing by ready to leave. Yes low on freon condensate drain stopped up fan belt loose or needes replaced. This is an old car and the mechanics will likly find many things wrong with it make sure they know that you what them to run it awile after it's fixed so that it in with some gas in the tank so they won't worry about running out. Should get alot of repairs done for less than $200

SOURCE: When driving, heater blows warm air. When idling, cold air.

It sounds to me like you have a plugged heater core, or one that is beginning to plug. With the engine running, carefully feel the two hoses that lead from the engine into the heater core in the firewall. If one of those hoses is colder than the other one then you heater core needs to be replaced. This involves removing a bunch of stuff under the dash. Sometimes it's pretty easy and sometimes not. Start by removing the glove box and you should be able to see the plastic housing for the heater core.

2008. Why isn't the air conditioning working better?

When the compressor is replaced it should have had at least 2oz of oil inserted into it. The entire system should have been flushed to remove any foreign debris ( especially if the original compressor/clutch failed ). The system then needs to be vacuumed down to remove any moisture for a minimum of ten minutes and then leak tested to ensure vacuum holds. The system is then filled with the proper charge of freon and oil and then monitored for guage pressures and signs of leaks to ensure proper operation and effective cooling

I have a 2000 mazda 626 and my air conditioning is not getting cold. The freon is full in the car.the car smokes at a red light when just sitting there while air is on. Wht could be the problem?

Is it possible that the clutch on the compressor is not engaging or the compressor itself is locked up. When you turn on the air, does the engine bog down noticeably? If so one of the two above are likely.

Mazda 626 ac fuse keeps blowing

Try unplugging the compressor then put in a new fuse. If the fuse does not blow, the problem may be the clutch on the compressor.

If the car was retro fitted with R134a this was a common problem. There was a low side pressure sensor that needs to be changed. R134a runs different pressures than the r12.. When you go down the road the condenser cools off the system and the pressure drops below the minimum pressure. You need to make sure that the system is fully charged, not just cold to the feel. Both pipes coming out of the firewall need to be the same temp. this makes sure that the evaporator is flooded.
I hope this helped. Re-post if you need more info. Have a nice day and good luck.
