Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.

SOURCE: status lamp lights-up on front no picture

The lamp is not that exspensive you should be able to get one for around $150 and you can replace it yourself.

The lamp can be bought as a lamp or you can order the entire cartridge, I would suggest the cartridge, unless you are handy at taking things apart as the cartridge can be tricky to take apart without breaking it. The only difference will be the cost. It is your choice. The Mitsubishi part number is 915P020010
You can google this and find many places to purchase the lamp or cartridge on line.

Replacing the Lamp Cartridge Tool needed: Phillips screwdriver
1. Turn the television off and unplug the AC cord.
2. Remove the front speaker grill by gently pulling on each side. The grill will snap out.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the three screws (one on the left and two on the right side) that hold the recessed plastic cover in place.
4. Remove the plastic cover and set aside with the screws.
5. After removing the cover, you will be able to see the lamp cartridge. With the screwdriver, loosen the threes crews of the cartridge. The three screws will not completely remove.
6. Gently grasp the metal handle and pull straight out (towardsyou).
7. Insert the new lamp cartridge securely into the TV. Do not touch the glass surface of the cartridge.
8. With the screwdriver, tighten the screws on the lamp cartridge.
9. Replace the plastic cover and screws.
10. Snap the speaker grill back into place by pushing it into place on each side with the palm of your hand.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

SOURCE: My Mitsubishi WD-62525 wont even turn on. No

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV. Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired ofcourse) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 yearsinstead of 10-20. The capacitors failprematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in allsorts of devices. Here are some options for you. 1. Have it fixed by a professional 2. Open your TV and find PSB. Checkfor faulty caps. If you find some (bulgedor leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. 3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill. Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourselfit will save you hundreds.
I have a tip/tutorialon this site that may also help. Itgives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It'scalled: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. Hope this helps and Good luck.Kaufman605

Lamp light on no picture have sound how to turn lamp off

If you know your lamp should be good, then you might have a bad power board. The two 2200 and 3300 ufd capacitors go bad on these all the time after 3-4 years of use. Parts are cheap, about $10 but it is a technical job and you have to know how to solder on circuit boards.

Mitsubishi TV WD-62527 will not turn on

Hi there, this is most commonly known as power board failure in the industry. the capacitors are blown. if you are experienced in inspecting circuit boards this will be helpful. you will have to disassemble and pull the power board and preform a break point test. the bown capacitors are easily picked out. they will be swollen and discolored. If you are not comfortable with disassembling this set, i suggest a service call. just tell the tech you are experiencing a power board failure.

Mitsubishi WD-52327 Picture flickers and goes blue

In your case I've seen this and it was a electrical issue between the DLP fan and board. The tv could have a problem with the digital tuner and not kicking a code due to low voltage ... it isn't expensive to fix, just hard to diagnose.

Do you smoke? The fans suck in smoke and it gets tar build up on the connections and that causes this in some cases too.
