Hi. the other day i gotted my itouch from my friend and it was locked up so i kept on trying to unlock it and eventually it said connect to itunes and when i did it still was didnt show up and itunes didnt recognize it. so i tried resetting it by holding down the top button and the home button but it still was stuck on the itunes logo and the ipod cord. and it wont charge or pull a charge when i connect it to the comp or the wall charger. is there a way to fix this because i really dont want this ipod to go to waste and i called apple but they couldnt really help me out and i was wondering if you could? thx you
Hold power and home to restart it (You might have to hold it for like 30 seconds) Hold the Home button down as soon as, and for as long as you see the little silver apple.
After about two minutes if it' still there release, and it'll enter recovery mode, and from there just plug it back in to the computer. You might have to repeat the process about 2 or 3 times, especially if it's jailbroken.
Also, try holding down the home button while plugging it into the computer. It'll try to bring the ipod into recovery mode as well.
Hold home and plug into i tunes. then resore it
If your iPod touch is Jailbroken, well what can you expect. That sort of stuff happens. But you might want to try it on a differnt computer or buy a new cable.

same problem,i forget my password of my ipodtouch
i have the same problem.It is frozen on that itunes connector. It says that i need to unlock itouch first. I can't unlock my itouch because it won't go back to my home screen. It says slide to shut off.
