Hi, I'm hoping someone can offer me a little advice? I have a galileo 800x80 Reflector Telescope but i think there may be something on one of the mirrors-so i need to take it apart and clean the mirrors and put it back together, but i have no clue how to do this. I would need to make sure the mirrors are replaced correctly ect-ANY advice would be greatly appreciated! Kind regards Gabbi
I had no problem locating manuals on their site. Look again. http://www.galileosplace.com/Instructions/Galileo_Instructions.html
Also, This is a reflector telescope, not a refractor, you don't need to open up anything and there is no where for humidity to enter the optical tube - Its basically an open tube with one open end (the top) and the closed end with the mirror (the bottom).
Call them at 1.800.548.3537, there in Florida and they'll be glad to instruct you on how to take care of that mirror.
Hope this helps.

Unless you are very competent with optical instruments, I would recommend taking it to an authorised service centre. Opening these type of scopes up will cause humidity to enter the optical tube and you may end up with condensation inside the scope. Extremely minor variations in the positioning of the various mirrors and prisms will be likely to render the scope unusable. The add-on accessories are able to be removed and cleaned, however considerable care is required Here is the link to the user manual; http://www.galileosplace.com/Instructions/Galileo_Instructions.html And here is the link for further info - they should be able to tell you where to take the scope for service. http://www.galileosplace.com/Galileo_Support/ Hope this helps :)
Noggin,
Thanks. I was needing an owners manual, but all I got was where to buy until I landed here.
