Remove all the load connected to the inverter and replace them one after the other to identify what is triggering the overload

Maybe too much things connected to it or it can't handle what you plug into it

What does ocp means on my 3000 watt powerdrive inverter

A little more context would have helped, but I strongly suspect that it is referring to Over Current Protection. That is to say, your inverter has built-in circuitry that will shut it down if you try to draw too much power from it. Think of it like the fuse or circuit breaker on your home wiring.

The OCP for most inverters is re-settable - either automatically (that is, a few seconds after you remove the overload, it starts working again) or manual (a button to press, or you turn the inverter off and back on).

My MASTERCRAFT Eliminator 3000 watt Inverter goes into overload protection with no ac load.

Ahaaa, usually indicated MOSFET or transistor problems... Here is a link to your manual that offers LOTS of 'troubleshooting' tips:

Mid 90,s custom harley build w. 32 amp sys new everything stator puts out 48 v. 2 new regs both ck ok. only bat v. at bat. simple 1 wire to bat. puts out 12.3 at 3000 rpm. sugestions?? anybody???

check for a missing wire to the battery as the voltage regulators are not controlling anything
if you have a 32 amp alternator and it is producing 48 amps , the voltage regulator is not controlling the out put of the stator so it will burn out from overload
voltage from the stator has to be 13.2 volts DC minimum and no more than 14.5 v DC at 2,000rpms
suggest that you get an accredited bike electrician to check out the circuits and system

Dometic AC B59516.711 15,000 BTU, while on generator power the AC works during day while it hot but once the sunsets and it cools down, compressor kicks on it drags the gen down and shuts it off.

something else besides the ac is stopping ( overloading) the genset
if it works well during the day, the compressor has to be working so the ac is not the problem
a 4000 watt gen set has a duty cycle load of around 3000 watts full time so any additional power requirement besides the ac will overload it
electric stoves , microwave ovens , hot water elements , anything that consumes power after dark will when combined with the ac will overload and shut down the gen-set

COLMAN TSR

3000 Watts is a little short on the power necessary for the compressor to restart. When it compressor starts it may draw 27 amps or more for a split second. 3000 / 120 = 25 amps. when the fan slows down it is telling you the voltage has dropped and it doesn't have enough power. After the pressure has balanced out in the A/C system the compressor can start against no pressure difference.
