I need to know where to download the install software for my camera the disc quits at the language part and goes no farther .
You don't need the Vivitar software.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I got the setup program from DriverGuide. It's not installing for me though. It says I need to be signed in as "Administrator" to change some files. Thing is, I am signed in as admin. So if anyone knows where to get just the .inf please pass it along.

Like all other Digi camera the provided software is not required to transfer images to a Windows computer
The computer will do this-
plug in the camera set to upload the computer will put up the Camera/scanner Wizard and asked where you want the images to go.
No Software Required
when you put in the disc, the installation window comes up. Close this down (click on the X), then go into my computer and right click onto the cd. A chart should come up showing you what you can do like play, auto play etc. left click on open and then you will access the cd. there should be a microsoft word document called users manual, open it (double click) and you have it!
