GPX DVD player w/surround sound

The player will not turn on. It was working fine before but now will simply not turn on. It is plugged into a power strip with other devices like playstation, tv, and a vcr so I know the power works. Is there a repair place I can take it to in Idaho or send it somewhere?

Hadn't thought of that. Will give it a try.
    Thanks

Have you opened it first and looked for a blown fuse. I suggest you unplug the unit and first look for a blown fuse. If this does not help, go to the retailer or the store where you purchaced the unit and see who they send them to for repair. Good Luck

Cannot get the surround to work correctly gpx dvd home theater

Check your setting it may be set to 2.1 or stereo. As for hooking up the tv check for aux or tv audio inputs on the dvd player and attach to the audio outs on the tv. You may need to change the settings on the tv, go to the audio menu on the tv and change from variable to fixed.

Umi freeview dvd tv combo to surround sound

I am not familiar with the manufacture and model of your TV set. This does appear to be a compatibility issue between the TV set and its DVD player, and the surround speaker system. The TV set may not be able to directly send the proper information to the speakers. I would consider to call the manufacture support people to have a definate answer.

GPX PDL705---Picture very dark

Sounds like the back lighting of the LCD screen is faulty. Is it a new unit - take it back. You might try the brightness and contrast controls and turn them up. If that doesn't help it needs to be repaired.

Help getting sound from New Sony LCD Television Model XV HTD520 DVD Player with Surround Sound S HTD520

While I could not find it in the manual, I found that you must
go to the menu, open Sound Options and set Speakers to "Fixed".

Note: If you turn off the Surround Sound or DVD player combination you must then go back to the menu and turn the speakers back to Televsion.

DVD SUrround SOund Help

Ensure that there are no conductive material's (metallic thread, fine wire such as shielding braid)near your Aux inputs that may be shorting your connections. You could also try using an emory board or fine sand paper, or even a pot scrubber on your inputs and RCA plugs in case it's just simply dirty and hampering the connectivity.
