Tv works, DVD, Xbox or anything requiring a different input
Our Mitusbishi Ws 55805 works fine for regular television watching. If you want to watch a dvd or play xbox, then the pictures are either in green or do not display at all.
Is there an easy fix?
Re: Tv works, DVD, Xbox or anything requiring a different...
I had the same problem- i forgot wht caused it but it had something to do with the type of inputs i was using. try using the normal RCA inputs or S-video input for the DVD or Xbox

If other inputs show no problems and you are not using a cable box or satellite receiver, etc. just off air antenna, something on the main board is failing. please double check other inputs again.
To be kind you are wasting your time, This is a 1st generation HD set not designed for the modern equipment you are using---You cannot turn a Model A Ford into a Roll Royce.
I has only one HD input designed for a set top HD box providing it a 1080 I signal.
Check Your Rear Projection Light Open Back Cover it a little Door on the back ov your TV Set Possibilty Light Burn Out ....Cause of this Problem Fan Malfunctioning Or The Bulb as to be change for new one ... Type The Brand and the Model ov your TV According To your Model it will gave you a list ov different Light Projector Make Shure You dont Touch the bulb with your bare Hand when you put it On Because those light produce very hi Temperature and cant burn out immediatly or explode.
have you attempted a different video source into the TV (Gaming system, another DVD player, Reciever)?
The issue may be that the cables you are using may be old, and are severely damaged. inside of those cables is a standard RG-59 Coaxial Line that is extremely flimsie.
try and use separate cables or a separate input.
If the input change works, is most likely the switchboard on your TV (Hardware) and will need to be serviced. Another option to use is a Video switch ($35USD), and not pay $300+ for system repairs.
Have you tried selecting a different input( do you have the remote?), if so have you set your input to accept HD input ( you access this thru your 'Menu" button on your remote). I run my HD input from my game console (X-Box 360) and have to select HDTV input channel (there are 2 of them along with 2 cable inputs), and have not had a problem with this at all. good luck.
Depending upon the signal, perhaps the convergence is off all the time, just not seen. If you can solder, try resoldering the convergence IC pins. Let me know if there is any change.
Hi
I have the same tv but my dvd surround is a toshiba, that shouldn't matter though. When I watch a dvd I go to component 2 which is where I have my dvd connected on the input of the tv when I watch tv and want the surround on I go to component 1 which is the tv input then on my dvd player I go to auxillary and I can watch tv in surround. I don't know the LG home theatre system but you should be able to select your inputs like between dvd, tuner, aux. Flip between them and you should get sound. hope this helps.
