Yes that was a bad idea to delete that folder, that folder had the information in it that told it what it was and how to work.

If you did any error while upgrade your device would not work.

use windows media player to load your mp3 player, open up windows media player and connect your mp3 player then once it recognizez it open up the music library and start dragging the songs you want from the list over to the sync list and after your done click on the sync button and wait. enjoy

You must use Windows Media Player, because the Musicmatch service that it was originally tied to was discontinued in October 2007. Manuals and software can be found at www.usasupport.philips.com

If you have got a usb cable insert it in your mp3 player and the usb port of your computer.
In My Computer a new removable disk icon appears.
Open the drive and paste the song files and directories in the disk.
Now click Safely remove hardware button in the taskbar.choose Safely remove hardware and the computer shows safe to remove hardware.take out the usb cable from both the ends.Switch on the player and listen to your songs.

You probably need to update the firmware of the player to version 2.9, which you can get off the philips website. This is the page for the player which has the firmware and updated musicmatch software they want you to use.
