If this car is remote start GM has a service bulletin out to do a computer flash to correct this problem, it will probably blow hot air in the summer if it remote started if you don't have the computer flash done. Hope this helps

COOLANT LEAK.
The 3.5 and 3.9 V6 engine are having problems with the rear head gasket leaking. This low coolant level causes air pockets in the system, and no heat at idle.

Check your coolant level. What u describe is a common problem, the coolant doesn;t flow thru the heater core if the level is too low, so no or little heat. Let me know the coolant level.

My wife has a 2007 chevy impala on idle it is not blowing warm air when you drive down the road it blows warm air you can smell anti freeze but see no leaks what is problem

It sounds to me like you are possibly describing a low coolant condition caused by a leaking heater core. If you can smell the antifreeze, there is a leak. You just have not checked good enough.

My heater, when parked and idle, cools down. The heater will heat again once I begin driving, but this is freezing me as I sit and wait for my kids at school. It blows cool air while I am parked and will...

It could be the electric fan is going on too easily.
The radiator and hoses should be almost too hot to touch.
And when cold, the fan should not really do on at all.
But the thermostat could be opening too soon also.
There are two hoses to the radiator, and when you start a cold car, only one should slowly get hot.
The other should stay cold until the thermostat opens, after the engine is good and hot.
If both start slowly getting warm at the same time, then you need a new thermostat.
And also make sure you have enough coolant in the radiator.

you probably have the same problem i do with my car. My fuel regulator is leaking. I have to go have it replaced. It has taken us a year to find the problem because after the car is warm it doesn't leak. Good luck with it.....my car is the same year, make, and model. They must have just not made these very well. I have had one problem after another with it.
