Why does my john deere g110 blows fuse when blades are engaged

Unplug the clutch and see try it if the fuse doesn't blow then look at the wires going to the clutch make sure they didn't rub on something

SOURCE: Fuse blows when engage blade

The electro-magnetic coil side of your PTO is shorted out.On the 318 it is very easy to replace,just under front screen.

John Deere la145 blades won't engage. Replace seat switch ,fuse good&belts. Start engine , engage pto switch get up off seat blades start but engine will quit?

engine will quit when get off seat thats the safety --check the cable and deck actuator for engagement problem

LX176 John Deere lawn tractor doesn’t get power to the starter, I have replaced the ignition switch and still nothing. Can anyone help?

Oftentimes there are switches at the blade engagement lever and under the seat...for safety reasons. I can't start my mower if the blade drive is engaged and /or I'm not in the seat. That's a clue to check , however I'd check the starter solenoid first.

Blows fuse every time i engage blades

Shorted Pto Clutch coil if electric clutch is used. Min Resistance is 1.5 Ohms for the coil.

John Deere LX176 fuse blows when pull up button to engage blade.

look where the wires go threw the frame to the clutch and unplug the connector and try a new fuse if it still blows remove the clutch and inspect the wires they do rub on metal and short of the power

use a pair of jumper cables and go from the battery to the starter see if the starter works try and jump it from your car it could be a bad starter

Check fuses.Does the dash light for PTO come on?Right side screen by pedals sometimes comes in contact with wires and cuts them.This happens mainly on the older units.
