SOURCE: F61 error

whats wrong is that whilst the power amplifier is running and the system fan fails due to internal resistance of the fans resistor the main power amplifier overheats causing the main power NPN transistors to turn off the system power by the use of a logic AND gate that causes the error code F61 to appear and turn off the systems power supply. The solution is simple the main transistors are removed carefully and their terminals are shorted using a screw driver. the transistors contains a little voltage which activates the AND gate to shut off the power supply and the error F61 appears. make sure the transistors are replaced correctly and solder very light. If the problem still occurs provided that all transistors are fully shorted(all three terminals) and properly replaced then the radio should be taken to a professional

SOURCE: F61 code error

I had this problem! Panasonic 5CD Hi Fi. I opened the case to get a look at the circuits and noticed a covering of dust on the components. I took the hoover to it and an initial inspection could find no glaring problems, such as burnt PCB! I decided to power-up and to my joy the machine whizzed into life. Problem solved!!!!!!!! BTW, this unit is at aprox 10 years old and still goin great!

Sa-ht545 error code f61- comes up upon statrting

F61 just equal 'power fault'
Generally a fault with either audio power amp ic (IC 501) or power supply ic IC 502.

As both said ICs get very got first remove bottom steel grill and with the power off and capacitors drained (shorted together with a low ohms resistor or leave unit powered down for a few hours) resolder the ICs legs if there are any signs of cracks aka dry solder joints.
Hope that helps.......

How do I take a Panasonic CD stereo system model

1st check that the fan is spinning. If it is you probably need a new output IC.

Panasonic error f61

If you do not know what an audio output IC is, what would ordering one do for you? And unless you have the know how and special gear there is no freaking way you could ever replace it.
Either have someone repair it for you or go shopping.

Hi,
f61 is a protection code. it means theres is a fault with audio output ic, usually there is dc on one of the speaker output rails, replacing the audio output ic will usually cure this but check speakers and leads for shorts before reconnecting to the unit.

Thank You

Error F61 on Panasonic Stereo System SA-AK80

HELLO

As far as I can know, F61 means your output IC is dead. Contact a service centre in your locality for repair!

DISPLAY STARTS OK THEN F61 APPEARS THEN STEREO SWITCHES OFF

Probaby needs the output ic. F61 is an output/power error code. But check that the fans turn before trying to replace or taking it in to be fixed. If a fan is not turning you will get F61 too.

Panasonic sa -ak 27

This is a common error for these Panasonic units. I work at an authorized Panasonic service center and have repaired many of these.

This error is caused by either 1 of these 2 problems, both of which will require service for replacement of parts.

1. The amplifier IC is bad and needs to be replaced.

2. There are a couple of smaller components in the amp circuit that need to be replaced. One is a zener diode and the other is a resistor.

The F61 error is caused by a bad amp circuit or power supply circuit. In most cases it is the amp circuit. More often than not, it is the zener diode and resistor that are bad. This would be preferable since the amplifier IC is very expensive and a total repair cost would be close to $200. The zener diode and resistor repair would be closer to about $100 depending on the rates of the service center.

I know this may not be the answer you were hoping to get, but it is the problem you have.

If you found this information helpful in making a decision on what to do with your stereo a FixYa! rating would be appropriate and very much appreciated, after all, it is the only reward we get for offering free help to people like yourself.
