Mine just stopped working cuz i never used mine the whole summer cuzi got an ipod. so i wanted to put the songs of my coby to my ipod. i tried to charge it and it didnt work. so i took the screws out on the bottom and i pushed the reset button. it worked after that. it turned on and everything. try doing that you wont lose anything on your coby.
You plug it in then go on to the internet and download Tune4mac ALSO FOR PC then once downloaded you open itunes and add all the songs you want on it then go to file then library then burn play list to disk then change blank cd to tune4mac then weight till done then just drag to mp300 mp3 player and done
that's because you need to get downloads that don't have 0.00 seconds because it won't play if there are no how many minutes to listen to the song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your Coby player is not compatible with iTunes. What you will have to do is to download the songs from iTunes, and, provided the songs do NOT have copy protection on them (possibly unlikely), you will need to download a free program like Media Monkey to convert the songs to Mp3 format. Once the songs are converted to mp3 format, you can use either Media Monkey or Windows Media Player to transfer the songs to your mp3 player.
I have been able to sync mine, though it wouldn't transfer some songs. It would sit there trying to convert it but wouldn't. So I tried the alternate way to get them on. I just did a drag and drop and all the songs played fine. I just had to be sure to hold the play/hold/stop button for about six seconds before it would turn on.
BTW all of the songs including the ones windows wanted to convert played fine this way.
Try to re-title the songs as you upload them onto your MP3 make sure they are not the same name saving onto your device. That can add conflicting info which can create the havoc you are exp.
Let me know how that goes. We're looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thankfully that doesnt sound like a terribly bad situation compared to others on here so that can give you a breathe of relief! :)
I have the same problem with mine. Just return it to the company with a copy of the receipt and six dollars to pay for the shipment of the replacement. If you've had it for more than ninety days though I don't know what you could do.
