Will your laptop work properly with an external mouse? If so, check your touchpad settings in "Control Panel" by selecting "Mouse". Here you can reassign your Buttons. Try setting your Right Button function to "Double Click". If the "Double Click" function works on your Right Button then chances are you have a problem with your Touchpad Assembly which means it will have to be replaced. Dell refers to it as a "Palmrest" which they will replace if still under warranty.

Clearing the CMOS will reset the password...
Take the button cell battery out for a few minutes, put it back in, and all settings, including the password, should go back to defaults.
Unfortunately it looks like your BIOS battery is under the keyboard...
Dell has got what looks like decent directions here, for getting at it:

Dell stores its password in a special security chip which is activated only during boot time. So you cannot use any software to unlock it. Also there is no jumper by which you can clear the password. There are few password recovery services which charges about $100. I am trying to find a solution. If you can wait for a couple of days then I think I will be able to tell you something usefull.

For that try password as "dell" or "DELL"
If it not works then you have to reset all settings of bios to factory defaults.
For that you need to open back side cover of laptop.
Open all screw in back side then remove cover then you find motherbord chipset .
Pull cmos cell from motherbord 15 minutes so all settings goes to factory defaults.
Let me know if you need more assistanse.
Thanks.
