Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected
Lamp is first suspect followed by Ballast that drives it.
I also suggest the following answer I posted for a similar set be considered:

SOURCE: My tv mitsubishi wd-60735 turns

Don't know if this applys to you but if you have purchased anything but Osram or Philips replacement lamp for your DLP tv then this is probably your problem.. The generic is VERY tempting in this recession but in this case generic is poison to your dlp tv... i have a Mitsubishi 60735 and went thru 2 generic bulbs when my tv kept shutting down on it's own and the lights on front would flash, i could cut it back on for 10 minutes then flicker and shut down again ..well since the bulb was new i thought it may be defective so i got is exchanged for another one ... after all of the post i have seen how much repairs were going to cost on dlp sets no matter what the problem was ..i was ready to chunk the tv out the door when the second lamp was doing the same thing.....!! well a last ditch effort to save my tv before i trashed it or taking it apart to dissect it.. was to buy a brandname lamp ... in my case i purchased a Philips ..it cost twice as much =/ ..i could just return it if it didn't work.. well it was the generic lamps that was causing trouble.. the brandname worked perfectly .. i am just glad the generic lamp didn't do any damage to my TV!!! I have done further research on the generic lamps and realized that the damage it could have done was not worth the money i saved when i purchesed it... Generic is a great deal In some cases (household cleaners, etc..) but in this case GET THE NAME BRAND!!!! the only name brands i know of for these lamps are Philips or Osram/Sylvania.. hope this helps others from this headache. Do your research don't by generic lamp replacements, your DLP set cost to much to risk it.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi turn on then turns off

Your model has the V22 chassis when it blinks a 21 cide which is what yours is indicating that maens the set is shutting down due to xray protection. Which means a votage is raising which trips the xray protection circuit and keeps your set from operating
1. SELF- DIAGNOSIS INDICATE X-RAY. CHECK FOR PROPER SEATING OF CONNECTIONS TO AND FROM THE HIGH VOLTAGE BLOCK. 2. SELF- DIAGNOSIS INDICATE X-RAY. CHECK FOR A SHORTED IC5A03 PART # 270P704010 AND AN OPEN R5A73 82K ¼ WATT OFF PIN 2 OF IC5A02 ON THE MAIN PCB. 3. SELF-DIAGNOSIS INDICATES SHORT PROTECT. CHECK FOR A SHORTED IC4B01 PART # 270P261020 (VERTICAL OUTPUT) LOADING 24-VOLT SUPPLY LINE. LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi model Wt-46807 Power shuts

hi,
Error code 2-2 indicates "Short Protect Circuit" problem in tv.
Need to check pico fuses in power supply as one or two got blown due to bad convergence chips.
Below is an exploded view of tv chassis, power supply and convergence area has been marked to give you better idea to look for pico fuses.
Unplug tv from wall socket before to repair/check any thing inside tv.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

I think i have a heating problem do u know where the fuses are for the fans on a mitsubsi wd-60735

Do the self check if set is shutting off etc. press both menu and source on the front and look (this is done with set having shut off) to the power light to blink a two digit code like one blink, two blinks and a pause and repeating this several times.

1,2 blink is no error found and if you unplugged the set you will always get that code.

How do i reset the lamp timer on my mitsubishi model wd-60735

Not going to fix that if the set even has that (which I doubt). Was the lamp a Mitsubishi or a generic cheap replacement?

when set goes off look to see if lamp is off or on, If you have to turn set back on or when its off, do the sets self check--press and hold both the menu and device buttons at same time for 5 second and release both---power light should blink a digit error code like 1,2, blinks pause and repeat that (1,2 is no error found and 3,7 is lamp issue.

Mitsubishi WD-60735 Control issues

This set has aside from the recessed front reset two more done with the Mitsubishi remote.

The soft reset "should" be with set on Menu, 1,2,3, enter

The hard reset requires a 4 digit number code and is based on model number and also done with the Mitsubishi remote--try to see if soft reset works at all on this model.

I replaced lamp on mitisubishi WD-60735. The Lamp light is still blinking yellow, the timer light lit up green, but lamp still blinking yellow

Are you sure you installed the lamp properly and put the door back so the interlock switch is functioning. Sometimes installing the lamp will get slightly displaced and is not plugged up properly and will indicate a lamp blinking light.

When startin up it would show a message that air flow was blocked replaced the Thermal Sensor, now the timer lite blinks green then the lamp lite blinks yellow and the green light go out. I hav a new lamp...

Hi,

After the TV has shut down, without pressing reset: press and hold both the Device (Input) and Menu buttons on the front panel until the green light starts flashing. It will flash a two digit code: 3-4, 3-8, 5-7, etc. You may have to let the TV shut down a couple of times (without pressing reset) before it will give the code.

Please post the code to help me determine the section of the TV that has failed and what it will take to repair it. It may be a good idea to repeat the test a few times to make sure the TV is giving the correct code.

Let me know.so that we could proceed.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Tv powers on then ''clicks'' off

After the lights on the front of the tv settle down, push and hold the menu and input (or deivice) buttons for 5 seconds. Now count the number of times the LED blinks and follow these instructions.
Cause #1 1. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, check for proper seating of the DVI cable between the FMT PCB and the DMD (Light Engine). It may be necessary to disconnect and reconnect this cable to insure proper connection. 2. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, check for 3.3 volts DC at connector J-9 pin 8 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check F9A06 part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB if this is open suspect the 3.3v regulator circuit on the Power PCB part # 930B921002 3. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, check for 3.3 volts DC at connector J-9 pin 8 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check F9A07 part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB, if open suspect it to have been opened by the Light Engine part # 939P977020 4. Self-diagnosis error 4-4, if the 3.3 volt supply at J-9 pin 8 is good and the connection on the DVI cable between the FMT PCB and DMD are secure, suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 5. Self-diagnosis error 4-1, suspect the Power PCB part # 930B921002

No digital inputs on the menu

Initialize settings by pressing "menu, 2, 4, 7, 0 enter" after settings have been initialized press the system reset button on the front once the LED stops blinking, reprogram the netcommand and tuner settings. 2. (Initialization and reset does not help) Suspect the DM PCB part # 934C116002
