Function key doesnt work

you FN key is locked try pressing SHIFT + FN together to unlock it.

If this doesnt works try the same using CTRL + FN an ALT + FN keys.

The limited information that you have given is very difficult to diagnose a problem with, if you are looking for a solution the more information you supply will give a better opportunity for a diagnosis or possibly a solution to your problem so if you give us more information we can try to give you a better informed solution.

However, if you look at the notebook keyboard you will see a "second function" key normally in blue on the keyboard this key pressed and held in activates the second function on the keys on the keyboard if you look for the F10 function key I think this one might have a picture of a sun on it and a triangle pointing up this is the second function for brightening the screen try this and also look at the F4 key I think this one has a monitor on it and if you accidently pressed the second function key and this button you might have activated the external video feed on your machine, try to press the second function key and then this key, if this does not work it may be a hardware problem with your machine.

do you mean the keyboard F2 key does not work? Change keyboard and test? Otherwise, it may be a two function keyboard where you need to hit a special colour key to get the function keys working. This special key is usually off to the side and may have some graphic indicating toggel between the first and second level of definitions of that physical key. This is true if you see more than F2 on that key.

Hi, when a keypad does not work on a phone, it is usually caused by dirt inside the keypad area of the phone,you can open the phone and clean up the keypad area.

Sometimes too, as the case may be Chips also can affect the keypad and allows the phone keypad not to function.

There is an IC chip inside that controls the function of the keypad.
You can fixed the IC chip inside the phone by replacing the damaged IC inside the phone.

When you replace the damaged IC .i assure soluton tothe problem.

Check in the BIOS if there is a beeping noise when u type.
Update the keyboard drivers, If it doesnt work out hardware issue

try to open it and press the key that are not functioning,, if it doesnt work maybe its the time for you to buy a ribbon for your joystick,,, you can use your old joystick that are not functioning and substitute them to the one you are using,,,, if you dont have that try asking your friend if they had a ruined controller... mind you that this only works for the original controller not for generic.... generic controller are disposable... once one key is not functioning you cannot expect to work that key again,,,

Usually you have to press the Fn (function key) at the same time as one of the F keys to use the extra function.

Mostly the functions keys are worked by the function key. that means there you see the fucn key in the corner of the keyboard press that key press any function key is worked. Without pressing the fucn key you cant. there you noticed the key two thing are wrote on the keyboard. one is top on the key and other on the down on the key try it and inform me.
