DVD not playing in colour

I have a DVDV-803 Diamond Vision .. about a year old - no problems until last week. I watched a DVD (colour) no problems, took out DVD and put in another colour DVD - screen came up B&W .. now everything is B&W. I've checked all cables from back of DVD/VCR/TV and everything seems connected - I didn't move any of systems .. I've checked all the buttons on the remote control - including Setup Button, Program Button and can't see any reason why colour not on .. I went through the instruction manual page by page with the DVD and remote and all my settings are as when I first set it up. Any ideas please?

I've used this same DVD player with the same TV since I bought it - over a year ago - no problems before .. all of a sudden, no color!

Have you used this DVD before in this player? Does it work in another player. Im thinking if it is new maybe its in the wrong format to use with your TV set.

I hooked up a Diamond Vision dvdv 807-04 multimedia player to a Toshiba VCR via RCA cables; to an Emmerson analog TV which only has a RF coax cable connection. I get audio but a ghostly video that isn't...

This DVD player cannot be hooked up throught the VCR due to a copyright protection in the sofware. You must go direct to the RCA jacks of the TV and select that input.

You need to convert your machine to an all-region player. The following hack works for Diamond Vision models 803 and 807 - there's a good chance it will work for the 809 provided they've used the same firmware for this model.

The region-free hack works as follows:

1.) Turn on the power and wait until the 'NO DISC' message appears, then press OPEN/CLOSE on the unit itself to open the door of the DVD player

2.) On the remote control, press SETUP. A menu will appear onscreen.

3.) Enter the following number sequence via remote: 1 3 8 9

4.) A different menu will appear. Your cursor should now be sitting in a box with the current region displayed. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys on the remote control to display a specific region's numerical code, or select '0' (this is the number zero - not the letter o ... this is the region-free setting).

5.) Press ENTER and then SETUP to exit.

6.) Your DVD player will now play DVDs from all other regions. The code only has to be entered once. Powering down will not cause the Diamond Vision to lose its region-free setting. An added plus: it automatically senses PAL/NTSC signals but it will output to an NTSC tv set.

They are Audio and video inputs that go onto the same colored jacks on the tv (if tv is too old, try using the vcr or rf modulator)

I know a solution its called RECALL. Start manufacturing in NORTH AMERICA. Management in large companies are stupid. Manufacture in North America and get employees to play a game. (Its called lets save the company money the more cost you cut with-out job loss and safety of our product the higher the reward) THE MORE YOU SAVE THE COMPANY THE MORE YOU GET.
EXAMPLE-----you save $1500 a/year = dinner for 2 at a resturant
