Code for remote / Diamond Vision DVD Player model: DVD807-04
I have a Diamond Vision DVD player that worked fine until I had hooked up Rogers cable. I do not know the program code to set up on the Rogers remote. Is there a code and instructions on how to solve this problem. Thanks to anyone that can help.
This is an old player , but works great. I too need a code for the diamond vision (modle # DVDV807-04A) .I lost the remote & have a universal RCA remote & it doesn't have a code listed for this brand, let alone the modle #.
I tried the code retrival & auto search, and none of these methods seem to be working.

Diamond vision is a little pickey with handing out their code access. And Rogers doesn't have a whole lot about accessing components like DVD players. But try this:
1. Turn on DVD player
2. Press the AUX button at the top of the remote
3. Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED light blinks twice.
4. Press 9-1-1 in sequence, the LED will blink twice again.
5.Aim the remote at the DVD player and slowly alternate pressing POWER and AUX. Stop when DVD turns off.
6. Press SETUP to lock the code in memory.
It may take several minutes of alternating between POWER and AUX to find the appropriate code - be patient...
If after ten minutes you haven't got it try programming it as a VCR - steps 1 through 6 above and substitute VCR for AUX..
Good Luck

Sorry it took so long to respond to your request for assistance. You
can find the instructions and codes you need to program your
television at the RCA customer support website
[http://www.rcaaccessories.com/rcaaccessories/ ] Copy this web address
and paste it into the address bar of your web browser. This will take
you to the RCA main customer support page. Just go to the universal
remote control section and find your model remote control. Use the
model number to find the technical support information page. On this
page will be a copy of the owners manual and the remote control codes
to use with your products. I hope this information helps you with your
problem of needing instructions and codes to use your remote with your
products. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
You need to convert your machine to an all-region player. The following hack works for Diamond Vision models 803 and 807 - there's a good chance it will work for the 809 provided they've used the same firmware for this model.
The region-free hack works as follows:
1.) Turn on the power and wait until the 'NO DISC' message appears, then press OPEN/CLOSE on the unit itself to open the door of the DVD player
2.) On the remote control, press SETUP. A menu will appear onscreen.
3.) Enter the following number sequence via remote: 1 3 8 9
4.) A different menu will appear. Your cursor should now be sitting in a box with the current region displayed. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys on the remote control to display a specific region's numerical code, or select '0' (this is the number zero - not the letter o ... this is the region-free setting).
5.) Press ENTER and then SETUP to exit.
6.) Your DVD player will now play DVDs from all other regions. The code only has to be entered once. Powering down will not cause the Diamond Vision to lose its region-free setting. An added plus: it automatically senses PAL/NTSC signals but it will output to an NTSC tv set.
SOLUTION: I had the same problem with a Diamondvision DTV3913. After trying many universal remote controls, I found one that worked. The RCA universal remote CRCR3273 / CRCR3373 (also referred to as RCR3273 / RCR3373) was the answer. It has 3 codes (1232, 1233,1234) for DiamondVision TVs and the first one worked. It gives me all the control I needed including the hard to get ones like input selection, main setup menu etc. It also has codes for DiamondVision DVD players and VCRs. I see it at BestBuy for $8.
This must be a duplicate post. And because I'm not sure which one you'll check I'll just post the answer here too...
