I have a sony trinitron tv model KV-27FS100 it does not turn on and the standby light flashes 5 times then stop and start again should hired someone to fix it..
Probably, you have to call for a technician to check for it, the switch of the tv might have some dis alignment of cables

Well the tv was working all of the suden it turned off and now when we turn it on there is not image or sound only the standby light start to flash. It flashes 5 times stops for 2 or 3 seconds and then it stars flashing again..
I have the same problem. The TV went off and now the only thing that lights up is the stby red light it stops after 5 flashes.
Please let me know if someone has the solution.
