The DSC-T30 won't deface your pictures by scrawling a series of numbers across them. However, the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in what's called the EXIF data. Any photo viewing/cataloging program should be able to display this information.
Most photo printing programs will be able to print some or all of this information as well. Depending on the program and printer, you may be able to print this on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for the program for instructions.

How do you date stamp pictures

1. Press the Menu button.
2. If your camera displays a menu with tabs at the top:
a) Press the Right/Left buttons to highlight the Setup tab.
b) Press the Down button to highlight Date Stamp.
c) Press the OK button to add the date stamp to new pictures.
3. If your camera does not display a tabbed menu:
a) Press the Down button to highlight Date Stamp. NOTE: Depending on your model, Date Stamp might be within the Setup choice.
b) Press the OK button to add the Date Stamp to new pictures.

The date is displaying on my pictures for our business we do not want this to happen, it just started displaying recently, we have a DC50 zoom camera, top of the line but very outdated

Press Menu, autourg00778004id1973498.jpg to highlight Setup, then OK to access settings Options Return to previous menu.

press the function button and change the picture size to postcard-there is only one setting that allows you to do date and time stamp-once you have rigth pic size setting-pretty sure it says postcard-go back to menu and you will see date and time highlighted on menu

Calendar function

The IR-500 allows you to display pictures in a calendar. When still pictures and movies are shot, the camera automatically sets the pictures to the calendar according to the shooting date. The calendar can be displayed in three ways: as a one-month display, 12-month display, or multi-year display. Select the desired date, month, or year from each calendar display.
