Here's the fix http://www.ledcar.com/pdvdh07/
I've replaced the motor once before on my 5 disk player to fix the HO7 error. The second time it appeared I tried the fix at the above link instead of going thru the hassel of the repair shop.

You may need to apply WD40 multiple times to cure the problem, depending on how stiff the rotation of the spindle feels. After the first application the player ran for about 5 minutes before the HO7 error reappeared. After the second application we watched an entire movie with no issues. we'll see how long this lasts. The fix was simple and hopefully wont have to be repeated soon.

MY DVD-RV32 IS SHOWING H07

Ah, the classic H07 error code. It means the spindle motor part of the traverse unit (which also contains the laser) has failed. Because the traverse unit is a multi-operation device, the cost of a replacement could be considerably higher than the retail price of a brand new player, along with the labour costs to configure and align it; therefore making any repairs to this one uneconomical.

If you want to get it fixed, by all means take it to an authorised service centre and get a quote, then you can decide afterwards whether or not to go ahead with the repairs to this one, or buy a new player. It is up to you.

I am unable to play DVD's and receive error message HD7. How can I fix this? I own Panasonic DVD-RV32 player.

I think you mean H07 - this means the traverse unit (which contains the spindle motor and the laser in one assembly) has failed. The spindle motor is the most likely problem; unfortunately this is not repairable at consumer level, it would need to go to an authorised service workshop where the whole unit would be replaced in the player, which would include a brand new laser. The other snag is the cost - a new traverse unit can cost around $200 + labour (including alignment and firmware upgrades)!

Save yourself the agony, and simply replace the whole player - cheaper than repairs. The RV32 was not Panasonic's best DVD player model.

Dvd rv32 keeps saying hot and wolnt play dvds

I think you mean the front display shows 'H07' which means the laser/spindle motor assembly (as one part - also known as a traverse unit) has failed. H07 is a common error code with the Panasonic series of DVD playback decks. Because the traverse unit is a multi-operation device, and because the player is a budget model, the repair/replacement of this part to restore your player back to fully functional condition as well as labour costs could prove expensive - hardly worthwhile. It seems Panasonic have been using substandard components within their products for years now, designed to fail just outside their minimum warranty period.

My Panasonic dvd-rv32 player (8 years old) functioned perfectly for last 8 years and I cannot get it to PLAY again. I inserted another DVD tonight (actually 3 DVD'S in case the DVD's were defective) and...

Spindle motor/laser assembly is faulty. This part is not repairable - it has to be replaced by an authorised service centre. It may not be economical via this route, since the unit is not a DVD recorder. H07 is an indication of the above issue. Cheaper to buy a new DVD player or recorder than trying to get the faulty one repaired outside warranty.
