Why does my battery drain so fast on my Samsung Admire cellphone?

Sorry your cellphone is having problems. sounds like you need a new battery ,Check the battery contacts on your cellphone and battery first , if they are not damaged & you have a friend with same phone, test your cellphone with that battery or buy a new one ( not generic ) only ever buy the manufacturers battery , some second rate battery's will only hold half a charge or even give up after a few months.If that fails then I can only suggest you sel it saying that it need new battery

Probably a factory defect, I'd take it into your dealer to get it looked at, that would definitely be covered by your 1 year manufacturer's warranty.

Cell phone batteries have what is called a "memory" over time if they are charged without being fully drained they can start to not hold a charge. Unfortunetly the only fix for an issue like yours is to purchase a new battery. Your local retailer / service provider should have batteries in stock or they can order one for you.
It is recommended to allow the batteries to drain completely before charging, then allow at least 8 hours or more to fully charge. Most cell phone will show a full charge after a few hours, but this is more a fault with the software that check the batteries charge, then an actual indication of the battery being fully charged.

Cell Phone Keeps Shutting Off
Dirty battery contacts can cause this problem. Remove the battery and clean the battery contacts with methylated spirits and the battery contacts in the cell phone.

I had thr same problem with my samsung admire...went and bought the lg connect 100x better phone bit anyway take something and clean the contacts of the micro usb port on the phone..i did this now my charges just fine..hope this helps

an internal circuit probably shorted. have it checked by a cellphone technician.

their was a deffect in the phone so plese check it to your near company authorized service center
