Dell inspiron m5030 netgear router

Limited connectivity
If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wireless connection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptop probably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and then click Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless card on the laptop.

How do i make my wireless connection secure

change the settings in the router set-up utility...
Open INTERNET EXPLORER and. (In the URL address field), enter the IP address for your wireless router ( the DEFAULT GATEWAY. This information should be contained in your router's manual. If you cannot find it, enter "198.168.1.1" as the address. This is usually the default IP address for most routers.do not type "www" just the number
Enter the username and password for your router. This should also be supplied in the router's manual. If you don't have this information, go to routerpasswords.com and find the brand and model of your router. This site lists the default login information for most wireless routers you can try "ADMIN" for user name and "PASSWORD" for passsword.
You should now be able to see your wireless router settings. You can configure your network ports, as well as SSID (wireless network name) and passwords.
choose WPA or WPA2 for the security type- and to make your connection more secure you can "not broadcast the signal" and/or assign MAC addressing.

I can only connect one laptop to the internet. When i turn on the second one it makes the first laptop loose its connection with the internet. My service provider says its the router. Can u help?

Hi! I think you have an IP conflict on your laptops. Do this: goto control panel and open the network section and put a fixed IP address for both the laptops, lats say: LapTop1: IP: 192.168.0.10 LapTop2: IP: 192.168.0.20
And put a DNS number in the same section where you put the IP numbers. The DNS number is the IP number of your router. WARNING! your router IP address must be in the same region as your laptops. Lats say Router IP: 192.168.0.1 than your DNS address on your laptops are 192.168.0.1.
Check in the router of some security restriction like how many users can be connected through WiFi connection, check for firewall enabled or disabled, if enabled try disable it and try to connect now.
I hope this solution will help to solve your problem.

I am not familiar with this particular model, but if it sounds like you are looking for content filtering to block certain non-work related websites. If this AP has that ability use it, other wise you may need to manually block sites via Windows Internet Explorer/Firefox or via the Windows firewall or other software antivirus/firewall you are using.
