Samsung DLP HL-R5056W 56" TV Problem

My TV has lost 1/2 of it's brightness... I went to the brightness control and placed it to the max without a change...

I have the same problem on my 46 in. DLP - HLP4674W. The picture is clear but dark. No noise from set, does not shut down with lights on front flashing. I replaced the bulb but that didn't change anything. Does the ballast get weak and cause such a problem?

i have the same problem with my 56" Samsung. Replaced the lamp or bulb (what ever it is called) but that did not improve the brightness. Should the ballast be replaced?

My T.V. color is way off.... Watching Duke vs. Maryland and Maryland jerseys and espn logos are brown. Brightness even on HD channels is terrible.

    What can I do?

Samsung DLP has gone darker

The 60 K hours is bogus---Average life on a OEM lamp is 2,000 hours or two years average---if you got four or more years you were lucky.
