Samsung dlp 1080p picture is dark and brightness control is at max

Have you tried changing the brightness and contrast with the picture controls? If that doesn't solve the problem, it's possible the lamp box and lenses in front of the bulb need cleaning.

The model indicated is a DLP set that uses a Lamp for brightness and has no focus control of any sort.

It time to replaced the tv projection lamp again,the tv projection lamp life span have ended.The tv projection lamp life span only last 2000 hrs.Average out like 1 1/2 or 2 years max for tv on watches 4 or 5 hrs of tv every days.

The tv LED light on the tv front bazel frame face have the word "LAMP" light up or blinking?Yes.The tv projection lamp been inside this tv like 1 1/2 or 2 years already,tv used it everydays like 4 or 5 hrs daily?Yes.Than the tv projection lamp life are over,that why it dim picture tv now must have it tv projection lamp to be replaced.

Dark picture is indication that tv needs new lamp.
Replace lamp in tv get bright picture, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.

Try replaceing the projection lamp, or you may have a light engine failure. Good luck !

It may be a loose conetion inside the set. Open and carfully check the conections.

sounds like bad light engine call sony and see if your model is on the extended warranty list.

its the problem of inner lamp that is near to end of its life and it needs replacement.and what the thing is happening is the indication of faulty lamp.

On your remote control, press the huge circle, which should be settings or menu, there, go on brightness, put it up to max if u want bright, and low if u don't .If the problem still happens, ask customer service to help, or return it!!
