I have the quantaray lens ld 70-300mm. Was working fine until one day. When I look through it everything looks slightly foggy. Adjusting it doesn't help. Cleaned the outside lens. Would like to know if it can be taken apart and the inside lens cleaned. Don't want to ruin it. Thanks.

Yes, assuming we're discussing SLR cameras. It can also be used with most Nikon film SLRs.

Yes, the lens can be disassembled and cleaned. But before you think about doing so, think about this. Do you have a lens collimator and other equipment necessary to ensure proper alignment on reassembly? If you don't, please leave inside cleaning to a trained professional.

Will a quantaray AF LD 55-200mm lense work with a 2X teleconverter?

Well, this teleconverter would act as a magnifier to your lens. If you get a 2x teleconverter, it will double your zoom. so you'd then have a 110mm-400mm lens. The teleconverter is attached to your camera first, then the lens on to the converter. Make sure if you get a teleconverter that it's an autoteleconverter. Which means that it will allow you to still use autofocus. I would also make sure you get a name brand that has good glass because some converters will tint your images to a yellow ish haze that would require a whitebalance adjustment.

Will my Quantaray AF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 LD TELE-MACRO(1:2) going to work with the Sony Alpha cameras? The A55 in particular?

Quantaray makes lenses with a variety of mounts. A lens with a Nikon mount, for example, will not fit onto a Sony A55. If the lens has the Sony mount then it will work fine with the A55.

Everything is upside down. The larger eye piece looks foggy.

The image is often 'upside down' in telescopes. You can correct this with an auxiliary lens to make the image the right way up. It is very awkward traversing the sky backwards and upside down. If the larger eyepiece looks foggy then first clean the outside of each lens with a lens cloth or isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud or clean and lint free cloth. If this does not solve the problem this means that some moisture has got into the lens housing and the only way to get rid of it is to either remove a lens or to drill a small hole in the side of the housing and then gently heating the lens near a radiator until the moisture has disappeared and then seal up the hole with a blob of epoxy resin or sealing mastic or gaffa tape.

Can i use a Quantray AF LD 70-300 mm lens with my nikon d80? Thanks.

That depends. If the Quantaray lens has a Nikon mount, then yes, no problem, it'll work on the D80. If it has a different mount, then it won't fit onto the D80.

Pentax Ist DL auto focus not working anymore after using Quantaray AF LD 70-300MM Lens

It seems to be a connection issue between the Lens and the Camera body. Perhaps the mount is not true to the body Ask Pentax about this their Technical Support Team
