SOURCE: CPU Heating Problem
Actually, when you play 3d games, it takes a lot of processor usage, thus more heat is generated from the processor. The system compensates this heat by increasing the speed of the fan. Try downloading a sensor for your processor(usually available in the drivers CD or the motherboard's website) to check if the heat is really over the limit. If it is, you may want to clean your fan, put some oil, and replace the heatsink compound. Or if you have extra cash to spare, buy a better cooling system for your processor
SOURCE: Audio doesn't work. Drivers?
Hi,
"Then the PC got restarted (I'm told that's all)"
???? * grin*
Check the most obvious first. Check the audio IN jack on the back, check the power chord is plugged IN, (and on the back of the speakers too) check the master volume , then check the sound settings(one formulti media and sound and one for realtek something~) in the control panel.
Seems to me the most likely is that someone was messing with your stereo settings (loose term *s*)
If this proves fruitless...force windows to update the drivers and lead windows BY THE NOSE to the exact drivers YOU choose. (whether it likes them or not)
I am sure that these procedures will help you fixthe problem but if by some mere chance it doesnt.
Uninstall the realtek software, and remove the sound card from the control panel system list. Reboot. DO NOT let windows load the drivers ON BOOT ( hit escape repeatedly if it tries to)
and then once you are completely UP. Install it again, forcing it to take the drivers that you know are right.
reboot for good measure, especially since you have had to make so many changes.*s*
Thank you and Good luck *s*
