SOURCE: Error when I try to use Windows Media Player 10 or 11

Hi,
This error is generally the result of a corrupt or missing Custsat.dll file, usually located in the C:Program FilesWindows Media Player folder. To workaround this problem:
1. Remove the current Windows Media Player 10 install.
2. Download and install

Windows Media Player 11 for Windows Vista

or

wm_tn_wmp11xp.jpgDownload Player 11 for Windows XP

I tend to use VLC Player, as it plays everything I throw at it..

Hope this helps

I would suggest trying to install the latest version of windows media player, but if you are at work it may not be possible. Most companies try to block their employees from doing this at work. Thanks for using FixYa

My GoGear won't synchronize with Windows Media Player 11

You have to update the firmware on that particular player to make it compatible with Windows Media Player 11. Grab the latest version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips website, install it, open it, and click the "Update" button. It will erase all your songs in the process, but then your player will be fixed, and you can move on.

Wont allow songs

Best advice is to get a different player. The firmware on this device is ultimately unstable. After months of different issues i replaced it with an ipod, though many others are more reliable than mymusix.

The songs you are trying to transfer are in the wrong format.

The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/harrison_wmp10.mspx

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0085.mspx#EDF

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

My Directions:

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

To copy (RIP) files from CD to Mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

Windows media player won't allow me to sync files to my My Musix mp3 player....

This player doesn't play well with WMP-11. Try reformatting inside Windows Media Player, but this may not work. Other methods you can try:
MyMusix's PD-6030:
If you have a Windows-based computer,
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

If that fails,
Check the battery polarity. (+ and - must be in correct psoition)
Set the hold button to the unlock position.
Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes ,format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format

If that fails,
go to www.mymusix.com to see if the latest software update will correct the problem

Sync on to MP3

When you use an mp3 player on 2 different media players, it causes a format change when connecting to one or the other. Stick to one media player only.
