MY SCANER DO NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 98. After switching scaner to computer and keyboard to scaner(ps2 interface), scaner read barcode but blocking keyboard (i can't write).System give me a massage that need some "advance power managment". is something i can install to my system (i can change it unfortunately) or any update or add some component to work it propertly.

it will only work on HP PCs and only old ones.with PS2 jack at rear.

there are vast language modes for keyboards
some keyboards long ago had switch on the bottom to make it work with older PC.
some even run both USB and PS2 and had a switch for that.

have you tried swopping out the cable? If that doesnt work I would just buy a new device. These are cponsidered consumable scanners. When they faile they tend to get replaced because they are so cheap
I'm afraid the USB mouses will not work on windows 98, please use the adapter so it fits into a ps2 port. (the old mouse plug) then of course you can check the logitechs website if they offer any drivers for windows 98 but its very unlikely.
so it would be a good time to buy a new computer, yours must be around 12 years old. considering that 5 year old machine is considered old, your 12year old machine is ancient.
Have a look at the HOST setting in your defaults. I set one of these to default and had the same result. I'm guessing it's because the HOST is blank on Default settings.
