You will have then to open Device Manager, remove the display adapter driver, then reboot the computer.
Once Windows starts up again after the reboot, it will detect there was a hardware change due to removal of display adapter driver, & will ask for the driver's CD to install it from. Once this is done, everything will be back to normal.

Blank screen after boot splash screen

Hi.

After you see the press Del and F12 message repeatedly tap the F8 key, see if that gets to the advanced boot menu, if it does select "Repair my Computer" from the list, and then follow the prompts. Have your Win 7 disk ready just in case you need it.

Let me know how you get on and good luck!!

I TRIED TO RESET THE RESOLUTION. THE SCREEN WENT BLANK AND THE MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN SAYS IMPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE

Hello,
I believe the max resolution this LCD can support is 1440 x 900 / 75 Hz. If you set your display resolution higher then that, you will receive the input signal out of range error. Your LDC turns off to protect it self from the invalid settings. If you can not change it back once your PC boots to windows, you may have to do it in save mode by pressing F8 once you power on your PC and before the windows loading screen starts.

The screen is black and a blue box in the middle that states "analog out of range. 67.0kHz/60Hz

Try to see if this works on another computer first, if it does, then it assumes the monitor is ok.
Then as the computer boots up, boot to safe mode by pressing F8 and once in that state, set the display to a mode that the graphics card will support.
If none of the full colour options work, the graphics card may be incompatible, try changing the graphics card.

Monitor error analog out of range

It is because your Windows monitor settings are OUT OF RANGE if you can boot into Windows normaly just rite click on the desktop, chose properties, than settings tab (if it's XP), go to advance, than monitor, look for frequency refresh rate, change to 60Hz, than save, than reboot

if you can't boot into Windows, try booting in SAFE MODE by pressing (F8) key at statup than do the above starting at -- rite click on the desktop, chose properties...
Cheers!

The monitor keeps going blank with a message ''no signal'' or ''out of range''.

Probably you are out of the resolution range for this monitor. Try to boot you computer in safe mode (for low resolution) using F8 just before the windows start screen, step down the resolution, restart and try step by step to upgrade the screen resolution.

Screen goes blank after afew second on ac inly

Try booting to the Safe Mode (F8 at boot) see if you get any further. Also, does the system complete boot (DO you hear windows sounds?) or is the system just hanging after the Splash screen (You can also try an external monitor and press Fn+F8 to enable the external display) If you can get video externally, then is it likely a LCD or video card failure. If you can't boot to the safe mode and you do not hear the Windows Welcome sound that normally plays at the desktop, then the system is not booting and you have either a hard drive failure and/or an operating system failure.
See if you can boot to the BIOS (F2 at boot), then reload the default settings and reboot.

If you suspect the OS is a problem, boot to the XP CD, then run CHKDSK /R and see if that helps
You can also run system Diagnostics by pressing Fn+the Power button

Monitor boots ok, then "Analog" appears/monitor shuts off

Does it have a digital port being used? If you are using the DVI port, it is probably digital. Try using the menu to selct the port. If it doesn't work, not sure from here. What is the model number?
