Region 1 to Region Free

Hi. I had subscribed for expert help, unfortunately the connection with the expert was disconnect. Since you are a guru with things, I thought I would ask you... Do you know if any valid hack exists to make a Region 1 Samsung DVD-v6700 DVD Player/VCR Combo region free? I have gone through a number of drills including pushing subtitle buttons and numeric codes to repeat and numeric codes and nothing has worked so far... I'm afraid it is a lost cause. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    My player is a Region 1 player, this is a region 2 hack. Thanks anyway...

Here is the region hack:

Tested working on a region 2 Samsung DVDV6700.

1) Turn on

2) on the remote press subtitle button

3) on the remote press enter , 5 , 7 , 5 , 3 , 8 .

4) region 2 will appear in the left corner, press 9 to make region free,
press the subtitle button

5) open and close tray twice

6) power down then back up

& your machine is multi region

Let me know if it is working.

I have an LG FB126 DVD system that only plays region 4. What are the unlock codes to play region 1 and how do I do it??
Hi,

I was made to understand that there are several versions of this model. Pls try:
  • Turn on your DVD player - with no disc inside;
  • Press pause followed by 3 1 4 1 5 9;
  • screen will display current region
  • Press 0
  • enter
or
  • Press On
  • "No disc" will appear
  • Eject Tray
  • Press '0' more than five times.
  • Press Pause
  • Press Off
or
  • Press "pause"
  • Press "1 4 7 2"
  • edit the 5th number group in the code
  • the first number is the region code
  • example; if the number is "12" then the region is set to 1
  • another example, if the number is "42" then the region is set to 4
  • so if you want all regions set it to "02"
  • when finished press "pause" again to exit from the menu
  • power off the unit and turn back on again.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Apex ad-1201 multiregion reprogramming question
Hi,

Open tray
press 8 4 2 1 (you will see -'s appear top left of screen)
Menu appears for region and Macrovision
Use up/down keys to select Region/Macrovision
Use Enter to change region/Macrovision on/off
A PAL region 2 disk played fine when switched to region 9 (Really region 0 , ie region-free)
Have not yet tested Macrovision

Unfortunately you have not provide me with engine size, year, number of cylinders, etc. But don't despair because Chevrolet does provide a general or generic solution. Contained therein you might find your solution.

Set forth below are the eleven (11) steps required to remove a GM product cylinder head:

Remove or disconnect
  1. Intake manifold
  2. Exhaust manifold
  3. Rocker arm cover
  4. Electronic ignition and spark plug wires
  5. Alternator bracket
  6. One A.C compressor bracket bolt
  7. Power steering pump
  8. Belt tensioner assembly
  9. Fuel pipe heat shield
  10. Rocker arm assemblies and push rods
  11. Cylinder head bolts and cylinder head

My player stated incompatible region number and its not a foreign disc that I put in. It works on older blu-ray disc. I rented a new release from Block Buster, but it won't play it.
