I have a turntable connected to my technics hifi system but the volume is very low the hifi system is the sc-dv 290 help woud be apricaited

The signal output from the turntable is very low and needs a special input which most modern sound systems no longer have.
You will need to connect your turntable to a preamplifier.
The output from this preamplifier then goes to the auxiliary input ("AUX") of your sound system.

Have a look on the back input panel of the sc-dv290. Check for a "PHONO" input. If there is no phono input it will not play turntable. If there is: then plug it the turntable in and switch the SC-DV290 to PHONO mode.
Another way would be to purchase a "phono preamplifier" from ebay: Hook the turntable into the phono preamplifier, and the preamplifer into the SC-DV290 AUX input.

sounds like the input to your hifi is a line level input.to use an old turntable you need a phono pre amp to make it work.try maplins or a local independent hifi shop.

I think your dvd is set to a different region. This might help:
1. Insert disk
2.Wait for 'no play'message
3.Immediately press stop
4.It wi go to chapter review automatically in about 5seconds time u should be able to press play and start the movie

The number of the system is actually SC-DV290 the number you gave is actually the reg number of one of the component parts. Make sure you connected the turntable to the PHONO INPUT of your Vestax Mixer. If so, then the problem might be with your mixer output, or your sound system. You will need to test each unit individually to determine what the issue might be.
