remove grease from oven

Place 1/4 cup ammonia in a glass container and put it in your oven when it is cool. DO NOT TURN THE OVEN ON. Leave overnight. The next morning, take a damp rag and the grease and soil should wipe right out. You can use some fresh ammonia to get the rest of the residue out if you need to. I hope this helps. If it does, please rate my suggestion. Thanks.

I have an electric Maytag stove/oven but don't know how to use the self cleaning feature. What do I do?

Never ever use the self cleaning feature. It is there to make your life a little easier, but it also damages elements, door locks and control boards. The heat is just too aggressive. We see it here VERY often. It is a great way for the appliance makers to earn income in spares. Use the traditional method, spray walls, base and racks in the oven with Easy Off - No Odor Foam, and put a large roasting pan of boiling water in the middle shelf (this prevents the spray drying off). Leave overnight, and wash off in the morning.

aluminum foil stuck to new oven bottom - how to remove

(Wear a professional n95 mask and rubber gloves). Use a straight razor and scrape off as much foil as possible. Get a hold of Mercuric or sulfuric acid. BE CAREFUL not to spill anywhere, work close to a stainless steal sink. Poor a little in a small glass container and bring over stove porcelain surface. Pour the acid onto the foil and wait 3-4 minutes, use paper towel to wipe off the acid, and then a soapy wet rag. Repeat process until all foil is dissolved. Then wash surface thoroughly and repeatedly with a soapy dish towel. Once complete run water in the sink for 5 minutes till any possible remaining accid is flushed from the sink. The foil is gone and the porcelain is preserved. Works great! (Don't breathe the fumes and ventelate the area or move the stove outside)
