Metabo 600190520 KHA24 24V Cordless Lithium-Ion 3/4" SDS-plus Rotary Hammer Questions & Answers
I have a new Metabo SB18LTBL drill. The batteries have been fully charged but it won't start. What am I doing wrong?
- There is a fault on the battery, charger or drill. The battery is usually the problem. To check the battery, first charge it in the usual way. Then remove the battery and check its voltage with a voltmeter. If it is lower than expected, then the battery is faulty. If the voltage is OK, connect the battery terminals to a known resistor with an ammeter in series. For example, if you use an 18? resistor in series with an 18V battery, the resistor will draw a current of 1A. Note the time taken when the current starts to drop rapidly and disconnect the resistor immediately.
- Then multiply the current taken (in amps or milliamps) by the time in hours to find the capacity of your battery in amp-hours or milliamp-hours. If the capacity is as expected, then the fault is on the drill. If the capacity is much below the advertised capacity, then either the charger or the battery is faulty.
- The easiest way to determine whether the charger or battery is at fault is to borrow and try charging another good but discharged battery. If that battery is OK after charging, then the charger is OK, so the fault must be with your own battery. If the borrowed battery cannot be charged fully, then you have a charger problem.
- Note: The resistor may use a lot of power and get very hot. For example, an 18? resistor across 18 volts takes 1A, so the power used is 1A x 18V = 18 Watts. In this case, a suitable resistor would have a rating of at least 20 or 25 watts. Using a higher value resistance will reduce the power rating required, but it means you will have to check the battery for a longer time. Do not leave the resistor connected indefinitely as it will drain the battery too much and ruin it.
Hammeraction cuts out
when hammering there is only medium pressure on the unit
you let the unit do the chiselling as any pressure and the unit cannot work as it requires for it to be allowed to rebound a it
Hi I have a metabo hammer drill une 2850 won't start
UHE2850 metabo first look if its the powercable have no phase fracture second is there depending 2 years warranty time on left ?
The switch or only dirt between brush and brushholder inside or an electronic assembly defect or the switch electric field armature . only a slide contact loose sometimes its not hard to find by metabo machines.
How do I remove the chuck of a Metabo BST 12?
First you will need to remove the "Set Screw" in the middle of the chuck. this screw is reverse thread. after the screw is removed the chuck is standard thread you it can simply be unscrewed.
