Goldstar DH304 Dehumidifier - Page 3 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I don't have the manual and need to replace and/or
if this is the correct picture - pull out the collection bucket and reach just inside the opening at the top (just at the bottom of the grill in the front) the filter is plastic and pulls straight down. Clean it tin soapy water, dry it, and slide it back it place.
Just quit working - no noise, or anything
I think I had the same problem as you. Mine worked completely fine for quite some time. The light for the bucket being full, or out wouldn't come on, and it didn't seem to react to anything I did. I took it apart and unplugged the adjustment knob, and it worked. Just need to put a new one in (part 6601a30006a) or it will just continue to run as if the humidity is always too high for the setting.
Is Part # 3850A20500F one of this model? my unit
I found the model # on my Goldstar DH304 at the top of a sticker on the inside of the unit behind the bucket. Mine has stopped working too. I'm awaiting an answer to my problem but after some research it seems that unless the filter and/or coils simply need cleaned, there is lttle that can be economically repaired. Good luck.
My DH4010E the compressor runs but the fan does
Put your hand on the fan, if its hot you may have to replace it
Check the amp draw too.
Also have your parts center to check the capacitor
Be care ful the mcapacitor can have elect after removal

My dehumidfier runs for about a min and then stops
Hi,
The
tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off
the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself
either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the
tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.
If
you've emptied the tank and the unit still stops running after a min, inspect the place
where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not
being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of
your finger.
Take care.
Won't come on
Definitely check the air filter, it has a sensor and will stop working if it's dirty. Easy to clean by running water through it.
It starts with control set to max and it runs a
one of 3 possible problems, the control is faulty, you can bypass this with a jumper wire and see if it stays running, the condenser coil is dirty and is not cooling the compressor correctly and the condenser and evaporator coils need to be cleaned,i would do this first before bypassing the control, then possibly its low on refrigerant and the low pressure switch is shutting it down or the switch itself is faulty, please rate this if it helped you, thank you
