Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link :- http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/finders?pg=ddfinder&cm_re=other-_-suprcn-_-download
You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the variour drivers, they will then unzip and expand into a folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder.

You will have to open up your network connections. Click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled. Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager look for network adapters + expand Ethernet driver if you see a yellow question exclamation mark or a red X you will need to update/reinstall the driver for the device Make sure you Ethernet/internet is enabled in bios. Restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys scroll to intergrated peripherals look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter make sure its enabled then recheck the driveri t should be there k the driver it should be there make sure its enabledPci device arrows key scroll to nstalled if you computer came with a motherboard disk the driver could be on it or this disk provided by your ISP provider Internet Service Provider

Hello,Your question is a bit vague on exactly what type of sound problem you have. My solution here is general being that "a problem with sound" is like saying "it will not open" what, when, where, etc. 1. Check to make sure you have the speakers in the correct sound port if using external speakers.2. Check to make sure your sound is not on mute. Double click the speaker icon and check the master volume and unselect mute if checked. 3. If you have done the above, update your system with the latest updates and drivers for your system. If you have done this and sound stopped working when it was working before, restore your pc back to a date BEFORE the date your did the update.4. There is a lens problem with your cd drive . Try to replace it

turn off power
look for hole on sliding door ...poke with paper clip end door will be disengaged and will glide open.

if not sliding door is off glide ...encourage it
