Frigidaire Dryers • Uploaded on Jul 11, 2013
Hello byseltrd03 - Try resetting the dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the dryer back on. Check that the power cord is not damaged. Otherwise the dryer may possibly be experiencing more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. Should all troubleshooting measures fail, I strongly recommend contacting a local professional for further diagnosis. You can often locate qualified servicers by visiting the manufacturer directly.
Hello Curtis - Typically, error code E61 indicates a Heater Relay failure. At first the heater was grounded, and now possibly the heater relay. When the heater grounded it could have shorted the relay as well. Generally it is a good idea to have a professional take a look at it to get to the root cause. Cost of parts and technical expertise entailed in these types of replacements can be a bit tricky.
Hi kirst_alers2 - From what you have described it sounds like you either have a problem with the belt, front (and/or rear) bearing, or a loose connection with the motor or drum. Lint or something else clogging the vent could be causing the dryer to take a longer time to dry the clothing. If the dryer is taking too long to dry then the issue may lie with a faulty sensor. I recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the issue, the part(s) may have to be replaced depending if they are worn, damaged or loose. You can often locate a qualified tech through the manufacturer website.
Hello shelljones37 - Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on the dryer. Select a normal cycle and it should start. If it is not successful, then the dryer could possibly have a faulty door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. At this point, I suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnosis the dryer and to assist with the repairs.
Hi Dan Flynn - Try reprogramming the dryer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, restart unit and select a normal cycle. If it proves to be ineffective, I suggest cleaning the lint screen/filter. Also check that the power cord is not damaged. Otherwise the dryer may possibly be experiencing more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. Should all basic troubleshooting measures fail, I strongly recommend contacting a local professional for a further diagnosis. You can often locate qualified servicers by visiting the manufacturer directly.
Hello tancrbtt - It sounds like your unit may have one or more problems. Either the belt slipped off the idle pulley and/or dryer belt and needs replacing, a faulty motor or a common failure between control and motor. Consult a professional to accurately diagnosis the dryer and to assist with the repairs.
