To insure continued operation of the steamer, never store without cleaning and removing all excess water from the water tank. Note: Water quality will vary in different areas.

They also have a help program available. No I dont work for them.

soak the "device" in 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water. heat it up until it makes steam, then empty it and use distilled water and it will be fine. ----------- Also possible clog or build up of dirt on floor mop part.
IS cap for water on tight and not overfull? you can also call the shark company directly and get more help from the service technicians in this issue Here’s the number and hours they can be reached.. hope it gets resolved!

yes no vinegar please. Try a product called scale clean or tablets for de-scaling coffee machines. Available from coffee machine retailers

I also have the Shark steamer worked great for a while lots of pressure but then pressure started coming out of the insert part for the wond not sure if its the o rings that need replaces or just the wond it self can any one help me

throw it away buy cheep bissel one wallmart for 50 bucks i had shark cant get parts for them

I had the same problem. Mine had been stored for a year. We had to completely destroy the plastic cap. Once down to the metal underneath we did the boiling water thing. It didn't work at first so we tried it again. And then immediately after applying the boiling water we used ice water to make the metal contract. With pliers on the neck and pliers on the lid we were able to open it. But, I know my husband had to put some strength into it. Hope this helps you all!!!
