Sorry, this will not be easy....

You need to locate a composite to RGB converter box.

Your Sega outputs a composite signal - Video (yellow) and audio left/right (white/red).

The TV needs RGB (red/green/blue) inputs on the component connection...your composite signal divided by three. There are converter boxes out there for around 70 bucks or so.

Are you certain you do not have a yellow VIDEO IN jack on your set? Every LCD and LED TV I have experience with has at least one.

My ns-lcd42hd09 insignia tv only

Having same problem. Smacking it or applying pressure often works. Extremely annoying (inconvenient) that a nearly $1000 machine breaks down very soon after one year ( how long the warranty is, of course)

HOW TO PLAY MY DVDS, AND CONNECT A WII AND

If you have the Insignia NS-42L550A11 (inputs shown here - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat13506&type=page&h=387&skuId=9595066&productId=1218131141674&navigation=prev&count=3&chk=true - or something like it), you might have a hard time plugging all of your devices into the TV.

Your DVD player might have a Component Out - if so, plug it (all 5 plugs) into the "Component" section of the TV. If you don't have a Component video cable, you can simply use a couple of Red, White, and Yellow cables instead - just be sure you connect the proper ends so the colors from the DVD match the colors to the TV.

As for your Wii and Playstation - I believe they both have the simple Red, White, and Yellow output plugs (labeled "AV IN" on the back of your Insignia). Because your TV only has 1 input for "AV IN," you might need to purchase a switch of some kind that you can plug your Wii and Playstation into and the switch will have 1 set of Red, White, and Yellow plugs to hook into the TV. The other option is to simply plug and unplug your Wii or Playstation directly to/from the TV depending on what you're playing... not an ideal scenario (particularly if you don't have easy access to the back of your TV.

The following link is for a 2-way switch that would do what you're looking to do. You could even get a 3-way switch and plug all 3 devices into it if your DVD player doesn't have a Component Out.

My hd tv problem is, When i on the powerit coud't

Hi Jerry.
Hi have seen this issue come up quite alot.
It appears that your tv has got a case of " capacitor" flu.
That's what it's called to the tv techs.
The capacitors are like booster batteries, and they send a boost pulse to the picture screen, energizing it.
Sometimes these capacitors go out on you, some with warning, like a pop or a hissing sound.
Others just give out, and make no noise whatsoever.

They are located on the main circuit board. The other thing that can cause this is the convergence module can fault out.
This can be by many different causes
Resistors, capacitors, even the power supply relays themselves can fault out, though not as often as caps.
They account for over 90% of all the tv failures currently going on.
This has to do with poor part supplier quality overseas, where the parts were make.
Sometimes, it's poor solder, other times, it's because they were manufactured using the wrong formula for the capacitor gel inside.
Kinda like battery acid, it has to be just right, or it's not any good.

When a battery fails, it bulges, splits down the side and leaks all over.
Capacitors are the same way.
So, look at you circuits, and see if there is any visible leakage, or if you can see any blown caps.
They should be fairly easy to spot if they are damaged.

I hope that this lnforms you some, and if it is caps that are bad, take it to Fry's or Best Buy for your repairs.
They have specially trained techs for just this type of repair.
Oh one more thing, if it is capacitors that are blown, get an estimate before you just hand it over, the cost of repair may be more than the cost to replace the tv, as these type repairs can be quite expensive to do.

My philips tv keeps making

Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps in solving the problem.....

Insignia 26" HDTV 1080p, I just bought it the

First off what type of input are you using going from the ps3 to the tv. If your using HDMI try changing the different video settings. Black ops actually has a lot of problems right now on ps3. So I wouldn't use that as the basis of what is working or not, I would try other games to see if it's working. Adjust the video settings on the ps3 and see if that helps. If that doesn't try using component cables and see what that does for you.
Thank you,
Lee

Need codes for dish network

I hope that you have gotten this code by now, but if you need any other remotes programmed, or you still have questions, here is some help. The link below will walk you through a power scan, where the remote scans the codes on the tv until it reaches the right one. It sounds like a tedious process, but it is actually a quick and simple process. I hope this helps you.

I'M TRYING TO HOOK UP MY INSIGNIA 42'' 1080P

The three picture cords (red/blue/green) often are a little larger around than the sound cords (red/white). If they are they same size, they are often grouped separate by picture and sound. Double check to verify if you have the "red" cords correct. Good luck.

I need to reset the screen resolution from 480 dpi

The TV does not have resolution setting adjustment, it works the same way as the PC monitor which the resolution is done on the PC, same for TV. If you feed it with 480p signal, it will display 480p, if you feed it with 1080I it will display 1080i. The video source dictates the TV display resolution.
What kind of video sources are you feeding the TV with?

A service provider might purchase the television from you for parts. Your renter's or homeowner's insurance policy might cover this. You can opt to get this repaired but doing so can exceed the cost of the television.

You can't use component input on the tv. You have to have component output on the wii and it doesn't have it. Are you sure you don't have A/V inputs on your set? I don't know of any set that doesn't in the LCD field, even the cheap imports have them. I tried to cross your model number and it went nowhere. Could you re-check your model number and send it to me. Some models of Insignia had a hidden compartment on the sides by the antenna jack that pops out.
