Sir, In my lenovo y410 laptop

First of all, try to put other empty disc(or other disc, which contains data) in your dvd rw. See if it detects your CD. If it detects that means the problem is with your empty disc. If the computer an't detect your disc, go to Control Panel and see if any device has yellow mark. Make sure that drivers for your devices of your computer are installed correctly. If some device has yellow mark, that means you need to install drivers for this device.
If the problem continues, go to http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/en-us
for additional information.

My Packard Bell laptop keeps

Hi...
The best thing to try 1st,remove the battery and use just the power adapter,as this will power the laptop up,
If the laptop stays on with no problems, then yes it certainly looks like your battery, but if it still gives you problems then it can only 1 of 3 things...
1,The power adapter, even if the charge light is on it may be faulty due to evey so often it may have a drop in voltage......
2,The charging port going into your laptop, may be coming detached from the motherboard, try wiggling the end of the power adapter going into your laptop....but only slightly...and just look at the bottom right hand side of the screen,to see if the charge connection change,s if it does then you will need another charging port......
3,It may be a charging issue with the motherboard, charging the battery....but this is quite rare,,,but still possible...but once you have removed the battery and followed the 2 top resolutions then you should have a better idea what the problem is..

Hope this helps...if it does great and please take the time to rate this...

My touchpad not work in

Hi Bhuvnesh147,

You might be wondering why the touchpad has stopped working after installing the Linux OS. The reason behind that is a missing driver. Just go to the camera section then check the applicable OS. The only solution for this one is to install again the original operating system that came with your computer so the camera would work again. If you're planning to restore the system to the default factory setting, OKR is one of the best way to do that. The One Key Recovery is one of the feature of your system that you can use on restoring the system to its original state. Lenovo y410 - no night,

Hi ajay_kawalka,

There are two things that you can check out that will help you determine what's causing the no light, no power issue on your machine. Finding out what's causing the problem will help you resolve it. You may need to check the AC Adapter and the DC In of your system. The procedure I have for you will help you isolate the concern.

  • Try using other AC Adapter to your machine with the same power supply. If using other ac adapter charge your computer and turn it on then, we can say that your current AC Adapter is already defective and needs replacement. But, if after using another AC Adapter and still nothing happened then try the isolation process that will follow.
  • You may try as well to use your AC Adapter to other laptop where it is compatible. If your AC Adapter work with the other PC then, DC In is defective or loosed. There's no power passing through it causing your machine not to charge and to turn on.
There's also a possibility that both are defective. For this issue you may contact Lenovo if your machine is still under warranty they may provide replacement for your AC Adapter and repair for your DC In. You also have the option of cosulting a service technician for repair.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Wifi is not working while

Hi Sivakumar133,

Some reasons why wifi stops working is due to corrupted driver or defective WLAN card. There are some ways on how to diagnose this problem, just reinstall the driver and configure it again with the wireless access point. You can download the WLAN driver for this particular system by visiting this link. You will notice that on the Networking Wireless LAN section it has 2 types of WLAN card, Broadcom and Intel. Just try to install the Broadcom driver because this is compatible with XP. If you're not sure what is the model of your WLAN just check it under device manager and look for Network adapter. After downloading, install the .exe file then restart the system. You can now configure again the computer to your router.

Hope it helps.
