Microwave doesnot heat anything
6 years is a good run for a microwave to keep working
as it is basically a high frequency radio transmitter, take it in for a proper diagnosis and a quote
mostly after 6 years there may be a shortage of parts available for repair so keep in mind that it may be cheaper to junk it and get a later model

NOT WARMING
I never encourage a non technician to repair microwaves as the internal voltage is truly dangerous. I will tell you that if you want a no noncence repair to your micro. then have the technician replace the magnatron:Capacitor and Hv Diode.(Will definately work well again.)Only problem, you need to identify the profile of the magnatron and wattage.)

My microwave runs but it does not get hot ,t stop doesn't work
I had a similar prob with another brand microwave. It is a defect and they recommended stop using it. Since mine was out of warranty, there was nothing they would do. That night, it came on by itself for the last time with a grand finale of grand finale's firework show. I had to jump on top of the fridge to unplug it. Totally freaked me out. Hint: don't buy cheap $49.00 microwaves. Spend some money and buy a good one or you might be homeless after your house burns down.

My new LG solardome MA3884vc overheats melamine plate @30 seconds
If your LG Solardome microwave oven is overheating a melamine plate within 30 seconds, there could be a few potential issues at play:
- Power Settings: Check to see if the power settings on your microwave are too high. If it's set to a high power level, it can cause certain materials, like melamine, to overheat quickly. Try reducing the power level and see if that helps.
- Plate Material: Melamine plates are not suitable for use in microwave ovens as they can overheat and potentially release harmful chemicals into your food. It's recommended to use microwave-safe dishes made of glass, ceramic, or microwave-safe plastic.
- Microwave Performance: If the microwave is consistently overheating items within such a short time frame, it might indicate a malfunction. In this case, it's best to contact LG customer support or a certified technician to inspect and repair the microwave.
- Placement and Usage: Ensure that the plate is placed centrally on the turntable and not touching the sides of the microwave. Also, avoid using the microwave for extended periods without interruption, as this can cause overheating.
- Testing with Different Materials: Try using a microwave-safe ceramic or glass plate to see if the issue persists. If other materials heat up quickly as well, it could indicate a problem with the microwave itself.
How to remove door COVER from door of LG Microwave model LMHM2017ST
Here are the steps to remove the door cover from the door of your LG Microwave model LMHM2017ST:
- Unplug the microwave from the power source.
- Open the microwave door and locate the four screws on the inner edge of the door.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws.
- Carefully separate the outer door panel from the inner door panel.
- You will now see the door cover attached to the outer door panel.
- Use a flathead screwdriver or plastic pry tool to gently pry the door cover off of the outer door panel. Start at one corner and work your way around the edge.
- Once the door cover is removed, you can replace it with the brushed silver cover from the new door.
- To reassemble the door, simply snap the new cover onto the outer door panel and then reattach the outer door panel to the inner door panel using the four screws you removed earlier.
Make sure to be careful when removing the door cover, as it can be fragile and may break if handled roughly.

Question moved from Building Materials to LG Microwave.
Take into an LG Service centre for repair. They are sealed by security screws and are dangerous inside. You won't be able to get parts.. If it is a counter top microwave and cost $60, just buy a new one as they are a disposable item.
