WHITE SCREEN NS-P10DVD11 PLAYER....Plays sounds no picture....Has a 1 year warranty...can i get a replacement..

The fault is with its video processor section. If the set is in waranty period, it will be best for you either get it repaired by its authorised service center, of replaced it by an other one. The second stated will be best, rather than get it repaired as it is new.

SATELLITE SIGNAL

This is a problem with the shielding on the television the other signals are interfering with the reception. Call the television maker and ask the for advise on how best to shield the television from the other signals. You could also try shielding the television with tin foil wrapped around the critical area of the television. This might work, but it better to talk to the television customer service they may have some filters that can block the noise causing your interference problems or go online and check their website for the frequently ask questions and see if a problem like yours has been answered. Hope this helps you with your problem.

I will put in a

When you get No Disc, it normally occurs for one of two reasons. Either dust has built up on the lens of the laser mechanism, or the operating voltage of the laser has drifted off slightly due to heat and age. Of course, occasionally there are actual failures of components, which cause this, but these are the main two reasons.

Tools required by this guide are (not all are required for all parts however):

1) A normal sizes star (Phillips) screwdriver.

2) A very small Phillips screwdriver.

3) A small, flat screwdriver.

4) Some isopropanol alcohol (IPA)

5) A few cotton buds

6) A little mechanical grease. (I've used Vaseline before)

7) A can of compressed air.

8) An oscilloscope.

Cleaning the laser lens

1) Remove any CDs from the unit and unplug all leads and memory cards. Turn the unit upside down and use the small, flat screwdriver to pop out all the little plastic and rubber screw covers.

2) Take your normal sized Phillips screwdriver and unscrew all the screws.

After removing them the step is to clean the laser lens

Take a cotton bud and careful place some of the alcohol on it (but not so much that it is dripping everywhere). This alcohol is the same (or similar) to the small bottle of alcohol which is in audio and video cassette cleaning kits. This is probably the best way to locate a source. Locate the lens (the circular glass part) and very gently rub the cotton bud around the lens in circular motions for about 30 seconds, being very gentle. Once done, flip the cotton bud over and dry the lens with the other end for about 10 seconds.
But if otherwise you will need to change the lens to a new one .
Take care.....

Need replacement screen for insigns NS-PDVD10

If you contact these guys, they might be able to run it down for you:
https://www.mcmelectronics.com/browse/Insignia%20/%20Dynex/0000000182/p/49
If you can't locate the screen through them, you will have to go through the manufacturer or find a compatible replacement, which hopefully they can suggest:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

It keeps saying no disc

If you are trying store bought discs and more than 2 are not playing, and all of the discs are clean of smudges then the issue is the dvd reader in the player. The unit will need to be replaced/repaired. Repair however is usually more expensive if not just as expensive as replacing the unit.

When i put a dvd in it the screen just jumps.

Hello,

how long have you been using this player? The problem should be from the lens (laser).

The lens is weak and that's why it cannot read/load DVD's. The weak lens is the cause of he problem and not battery.

The lens reads the files/data on the disc inserted into the player and once the lens is weak, there is no way it would load discs.

Get a lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, but if the lens still does the same thing even after using the lens cleaner, then it means you would have to change the whole lens completely to a brand new one.

By so doing your player would play all DVD's with no problem at all.

Good luck.

It will work with a 9v power pack, but there will be issues with image quality and volume since the device is underpowered. This is not recomended.

Hope this helps!

Chargers burn out quickly

Just a stab from here, but I wonder if your battery is shorted? Does the unit work off battery alone at all? Probably not. If you remove the battery, does the unit operate normally off the power supply? Perhaps that is difficult to test if your supply is bad LOL. Without making some voltage tests and testing the current draw of the device, one is shooting in the dark.

Player turns on but immediately turns off

Either the power supply is faulty or there is a bad capacitor in the unit. You can test it with an ohmmeter.
