The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode (open for microwaving, closed for convection cooking). If the controller senses that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle or display an error code. This is a problem in one of the damper-related components, either the damper switch or damper motor, or the damper door may be binding. To set the clock on most GE microwaves: 1 With the microwave door closed, press CLOCK. 2 Touch number pads that reflect the time of day (1:45 would be 1, 4, 5). 3 On some newer models, indicate AM or PM for morning or evening. 4 Press CLOCK or START to lock in the time. If you prefer not to display the time: Disconnect the power for 30 seconds. After restoring power, do not set the clock. If your model has an ON/OFF clock display, you can choose not to have the time displayed. To choose this option, press the 0 pad for about three seconds. To Turn the display back on, press the 0 again.

Looks like someone turned the Child Lock feature on - this is a safety feature...For most models, here are the steps to turn on and off the child lock feature: To lock or unlock the control (varies by model):

• Press and hold the CLEAR/OFF pad for 3 seconds. The display will show "LOCK" and then revert to the time of day.
• • A small "L" may appear in the corner of the display as a reminder that the control panel is locked.
  • If anyone tries to use the microwave, the display will show "LOCK".
• Press and hold the 5 and 7 pads simultaneously for 3 seconds.
• Press the Mute pad for 3 seconds.

By 'short service', do you mean the microwave oven appears to have a short, and needs a service? What is the actual fault / symptoms?

Unfortunately, four web sites report that tray is no longer available, and is not being manufactured, and there is not a substitute. That means it is not for sale any where on the internet that was visible by searching. Example: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/part-number/WB39X75/0022/364.html Unfortunately for you and others, if there is any chance at all, you may only find one from a second hand store, or perhaps someday on ebay or other used appliance web site. That might mean buying a used GE Oven and using the tray even it is not working otherwise.

The GE JES738WJ02 uses the WB49X10134 turntable tray. According to Amazon, the tray measures ~9 5/8" in diameter.
