Nikon Speedlight SB-22S TTL Flash Questions & Answers
Can I use Nikon SB-22s speed light with my Nikon
You should be able to use your SB-22 with your D5000, however you can only use it in the manual mode since it is not a TTL speed light. That means you will need to manually set both the camera and the flash unit. I have done that successfully with an SB-25 on both my D800 and D90 in a pinch, but you should consider investing in either an SB-700 or SB-910. They are allot more versatile.
Can I use my old
Yes, the trigger voltage is low enough not to harm the camera. However, you will not have all the capabilities of a newer flash.
Coolpix 5700 pop up flash
Yo have an internal switch or control unit issue.A switch which is either a solid state controller or a mechanical which has failed which is why you are getting the error message. To DIY this will require a lot of patience and self control for the parts are really delicate or fragile to work with.It will need a camera technician and tools to get work right. And not to mention electric shock when you get near the flash unit area.
Nikon d90 and spidlight sb
this flash will not work on the newer digital nikon cameras, the flash for d90 needs to be ittl compatible.
Using a speedlight
the SB-22 has a voltage of around 4.5v this means that it will not fry you D60 SLR so the answer is YES you can use you old flash gun with your D60

This flash was made in the 1990's for use on nikon film cameras. It wont work in TTL mode on current nikon models, and it has no infrared remote capability like the sb600/800 speedlights, but it can still be fired in manual mode by even the newest nikon cameras. I wouldnt throw it away, but I probably wouldnt use it that much either.
Pictures are white after taking a shot. But when I'm in indoors it's quite normal.
Way, Way Over exposed Gracey. Read the manual for the mystery Nikon Camera and set the camera to Automatic Exposure. Film 'Speed' is measured in ASA Rating, 200 ASA would be standard for outside, 400 ASA for lower light, up to 1200 ASA for very low light like candle light. The higher the ASA Rating, the more grain you will get in an image. In the old days, we used a light meter set to the actual film speed of the roll of film in the camera and the sensor in the light meter told you what to to set the lens aperture and shutter speed to. Now with digital cameras, it is all automatic, or you can choose to go with manual exposure.FULL 'make model (what it is)' in all questions please first 3 words.GoogleNikon (model) manualRead it it LEAST 3 times and at least once with the camera in your lap. Use the camera every day for a week and read it again...
I encounter a problem r07 using my Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm kits lens or my 55-200mm lens. How can I fix this? Thank you.
On Nikon cameras this isn't normally an error code. Have you got a memory card in the camera? Check that it isn't nearly full.
r07 common comes up as an information prompt referring to the memory space in the camera. '07' being 7 shots remaining.
If the card isn't full try this. Turn the camera off. Remove the battery. Remove the memory card. Leave it like that for at least 15 minutes. Connect the memory card to a computer or a laptop and check you can still look at and move the images that are on there. This is to check the memory card isn't corrupted (developed a fault).
