try tapping f8 when u turn it on to open boot menu hdd or cd or press the key to enter the bios when you power up go to boot and change the cd to first hope it helps

If you have the restore disk just run them it will delete the current and install with a clean factory install

You could have a nearly flat BIOS battery.
I recommend you replace the BIOS battery and configure the BIOS date and time etc.

Try restarting and on the manufacturers screen start tapping f8. You will then go to the advanced options menu. Choose safe mode. if you are able to go into safe mode without errors then do a system restore and restore it to an earlier date before you had this issue. If in safe mode and you are still getting this kind of issue then it would be best to reinstall the whole operating system but make sure to have your documents and other important data backed up.

As far as the computer world is concerned we are all unknowledgeable to some degree - but you described the problem accurately and gave correct information that is the first step to get help. If this computer has a CD (for XP) or DVD (for Vista and Win 7) and you have the installation disc you can try a system repair by starting to re-install, and when asked press R for repair (not install- that may delete your data). For that better study more about the correct steps for your system and operating system.

Without having seen it, it sounds like a hard drive problem. Could be dead, could be the boot info has been destroyed (virus?).

ROM setup should be able to tell you more about the hard drive, and whether Setup can see it.

If you are facing an issue of Dark Screen there are basically two reasons for that, either it's the Inverter or the Back-light.Make sure you are looking for the right and as recommended Inverter is where you should look first.

you should be able to right click on the battery in the system tray on the lower right hand side and go to properties or power options. It should give you an option to condition your battery.

hey. there is a inverter in LCD that makes view brightly shinely so you can see everything on LCD. anyway. if the inverter breaks down you get black screen. even inverter is working you get blanc screen you need to check LCD DATA CABLE that it not possible to reach it for you. i advise you to get the Service if you have warranty
