Try leaving the TV unpugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Television Won't Display Certain Cable Shows
Okay,i assumed this is what you have:
HD cable box with HDMI cable connection to the Samsung TV.
Listen careful as follow:
First you want to make sure using the same HD comcast box with HDMI connection for our Samsung TV as well as your other TV.Be sure the other TV do received the missing channels from the Samsung TV.You must be SURE you have tested both TVs with the same HDMI cable with the SAME HD cable box.
Now that you have confirmed the both TVS are using the same HD comcast box and the same HDMI cable but the connection that goes to the Samsung TV are missing some channels,at this point, use another HDMI connection behind your Samsung TV and see if you have the same problem. If so,please also try the left side of the HDMI connection and see if you could get the other channels.
Let me know!

there is a firmware update on samsung.com to solve that problem I believe
TV flickering on and off
I will unplug the TV power cord from the surge protector and have it connect directly to the outlet first and see if this will resolve the issue, small chance but worth to try.
Secondly,if you have an universal remote control for your system, you need to let me know what kind!
Now,if you don't have an universal remote control that had programmed to either IR or RF,and you have the TV power cord connected directly to the outlet and still having the same issue,it is time for a TV repair specialist to check it out;however,if you have your TV more than 7-10 years, you might consider buying a new one, cause cost of labor and part might not be worth to fix it.

Try a hard reset first:
Unplug TV from power source and undo all cabling. Wait about 5 minutes and replug and redo cabling.
Please try this first and let me know how it goes..
