If you need the code list for the original HP-T4254 remote, BN59-00599A, these are listed in the manual starting at page 22. The steps to program the remote are on the preceding page. Crutchfield has the manual on the product page:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-TYaga4aDv9F/p_305HPT4254/Samsung-HP-T4254.html . The direct link to the manual is
http://pdf.crutchfieldonline.com/ImageBank/v20071022131600/Manuals/305/305HPT4254.PDF .
Please note that the codes programmed into the remote will probably not operate devices that are newer than the TV. Sometimes electronic devices that were released less than 6 months before the remote was programmed will not respond to the available codes in the given remote.
If you are trying to find a Samsung TV code that will work with another remote, please indicate which universal remote you are trying to program. (There is a Redi-Remote replacement for the BN59-00599A that does not function as a universal remote.)
I hope this helps.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.....

If relays are clicking, the problem could also be the diode connected to the relay or its own power supply. Check whether the relay is getting power enough to remain activated. This chattering can also be caused due to relays becoming weak or by short circuits on its load.

If your looking at channels in the high numbers on cable, make sure that you are not going through a cable surger protector with the cable. They cause a problem on the high cable channels.

Hi Rickpo:
After installing the $11 kit and the additional $13 kit recommended by (http://preher-tv.blogspot.com/2010/01/samsung-hpt4254-no-power-repaired.html) mostly surface mount diodes (also available on Ebay), the Samsung HP-T4254 came back on, but would only play for 4 minutes. I found DX801 flowing both directions, replaced it with a diode from Fry's. Works great, $26 total repair costs :-)
