How to modify a micosoft xboxto play bruned dise

It is not an easy task to modify your xbox to play burned disks. But if you are tech savvy and willing to learn then there are many community sites that will assist you in all your needs.

I would recommend you start with this site first and search the forum on specific instructions and help: http://forums.360mods.net/

Depending on where you live you might find it easier to simply pay a local tech person to mod your xbox for you?

If you are talking about the original Xbox console from Microsoft (the big black one with a green circle in the middle) then you will not be able to connect to Xbox Live anymore as Microsoft has shut down the servers for the original Xbox indefinitely.

How to connect broadband for live

Older systems are incapable of any online interaction without straight Ethernet hookup from the back of the system to the dsl box. Other option is, wireless adapter card. Keep in mind you need a xbox live card to access anything. Need all these things for it to work successfully.

My xbox wont start it

Hi,

What you are facing is a technical but one of the most common problems of Xbox. You have 2 options now; either take it to a repair shop and get it repair by spending 150US$+ plus waiting for 1-2 weeks, OR you can repair it by yourself at home. This is very easy with the help of Easy and Complete Guide to Xbox Repair.

This Xbox repair manual is so easy to understand that even a non technical person can fix it. I fixed mine myself, although i have zero technical background. It has several pictures and easy to follow instructions. Xbox easy fix guide enables you to repair your console at home without any outside help and comes in quite CHEAPER price. I hope this would help you a lot. Take care and good luck :)

I got a xbox as a gift from a friend a few years

Best guess? It over-heated and fried the harddrive. Its toast bro, Microsoft is not going to honor any type of anything on the original X-Box anymore, no way. I have an original X-Box that works perfect, i'll sell it to you for $30 if you'd like =D

How to fix original xbox

This is a very difficult problem to replace. Your problem can mean two things:
  1. A part has overheated and broken.
  2. Your xbox needs to cool down.
To deal with the first issue you will need to find the specific part such as the motherboard online and then replace it.

For the second issue, find a well ventilated environment. You could also buy an xbox fan to cool down the system. Although, there are no guarantees on the solutions to the second issue.

I cant sing into xboxlive

You mic may be broken and won't allow input. I would either buy a new mic or if yours has a warranty, replace it. On the other hand I would try experimenting with the input of the mic, blow out the dust inside the ports, and try again.

I keep trying to connect

Even if other devices are not having a problem connecting to your wireless access point, it is usually a good idea to try those steps first.
1. Unplug the power cord from your modem. 2. Unplug the power cord from your router. 3. Wait 10-15 seconds. 4. Reconnect the power to your modem. 5. Reconnect the power to your router. 6. Wait 30-45 seconds while the devices reconnect to your service provider. 7. Retest your Xbox Live connection.
This process is known as power cycling. It removes the temporary files and caches stored in the devices, so when you reconnect a device, such as your Xbox, it's actually making a new connection request rather than trying to use the previous connection, which in some cases becomes corrupted and results in a connection error.
(I've had to do this several times with my own Xbox. Computers connect to the Internet just fine, but Live says there's a connection problem. Power cycling fixes it every time.)

Xbox has red green and yellow blinking light

This fault means that its not detecting there is an AV cable inserted into the Back of the console, make sure its seated properly or try a different cable. If a different cable doesnt work then there is a problem with the AV connector on the back, make sure its not full of dust .

The xbox says the game

This message is likely due to one of the following.

1) The game disc has been damaged, or has dirt on the surface making the laser unable to read it. Before continuing any further you should remove the game from the xbox, lightly clean it with a wet cloth, and inspect the surface in the light for fatal scratches. You can also take the game to a video game store for cleaning, Game Stop will do it for very cheap, less than a dollar. If there is a deep scratch then the problem is likely caused by this, either way put the disc back into the xbox and try again.

2) If the game still doesn't work try a different game and see if it works. If it does then it is most likely the game, some games are more complex and therefore are damaged easier. If all or most of your games are causing this error than it is most likely a problem with your laser. The best way to have the laser fixed is to take it to the nearest video game console repair shop. But in the meantime I suggest using a can of compressed air to clean out the dust the best you can because it could be simply that the laser has dust covering it. Depending on your warranty you might also consider calling the manufacturer to see if they will replace, or fix it for a small cost or even possibly for free.

Hopefully this helped!
