Check your VGA/HDMI cable(the cable which is connecting the monitor and the system) try bloing air through the connectors and reconnect the cable properly. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.

It is broken. Replace it.

If you look online for a "previously-owned" 15-inch LCD monitor, expect to pay $20 to $30.

If you go to any "big-box" electronics store, you can buy a 19-inch LCD monitor for under $100.

Either way, it's much less expensive to REPLACE it
than it would be for a professional TV/video technician to try to trouble-shoot and REPAIR it.

This is an old monitor, I remember working on these many years ago.

Anyways, the backlight is bad. The CCFL bulb needs to be replaced.

It is cheaper to scour ebay or something to get another one if this is in a server tray than to get it fixed.

If not, just buy a new monitor. You'll see a world of difference in picture quality.

The problem with the fast blinking power light is caused by 4 capacitors in the power supply unit going bad. We have been repairing this model for 4 or 5 years and this is a very common problem. Your backlight probably went out and needs replaced.

Did the same and burnt a frazzled chip. it is on the 3rd circuit board (I believe it provides the lamp power). It is the 8 pin surface mount chip next to C900. As far as I can make out, the numbers on the chip are 4559 **** **7B I was told it's the lamp drive. If it is indeed lamp drive, then when you turn the monitor on, round the edges of a flashlight pressed to the screen, you should see a picture. If there isn't one, you may have killed more than I did. Is there no power regulator at the input? Good luck

Is is probably too old to take Win 10. Also, USB support normally starts once Windows is loaded. During Boot up, it looking for a hard drive or Bootable CD Media. Windows 7 should be the OS. If you go to safe mode, it should complete booting and then you can list the errors but I suspect there is a driver error. Maybe the wrong version in there.

Hopefully it will still work with a new battery and power supply to charge it. They were quite reasonable back in 2008. Win7 software (no longer supported) and fairly fast.

reboot the system by pressing F8 if your using windows OS and select last good configuration.

you can try also selecting Enable VGA mode (press F8 while rebooting and select ENABLE VGA mode).

Replace the capacitor.

It might be a connector cable between the mother board and the power supply has worked loose when the machine was moved. That blinking light appears to be on the power supply. While there might be other causes, I suspect the power supply needs to be replaced. You could take up considerable time and try to reseat everything and check all the connections and even put new thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink, but in the end, I suspect putting in a new (or used of the same type) power supply will be the fix. If the power supply has failed before damaging anything, that at least would be good news.
