one of the cartridges is dead and must be changed. buy new one and the problem will be solved.

I found perhaps a couple of cheats when it comes to desktop printers. Their is a RESET BUTTON on the cartage itself that will give you more ink out of your cartage.

the refilled cartridge probably has expired (yes. hp cartridge got expiry dates!!)

exchange the ink where you got it from. and ask for a 'fresher' one

but my advice is to change the printer. this model uses 3-in-1 inks that is not economy. get one with all seperate ink tanks.

you must assign ip to your printer ( eq. 192.168.1.25)

Delete it from the Add Printer Wizard

1. Click Start .
2. Click Control Panel .
3. Click Printers and Other Hardware .
4. Click Printers and Faxes .
5. Under Pick a task heading, click View installed printers or fax printers or under the heading or pick a control panel icon , click Printers and Faxes .
6. Right-click the printer icon.
7. Click Delete from the drop down menu.

Windows XP

1. Click Start , Control Panel .
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs .
3. Highlight the printer to be removed and click Change /Remove .

If the driver comes with an uninstall feature, follow the steps below:

1. Click Start and Programs .
2. In the Programs list, highlight the name of the printer to uninstall.
3. Click Uninstall .
4. Click Next .
5. Click Uninstall .
6. Click Restart .

Go to HP Support & Drivers find your printer model and OS.

Which operating System is installed on your computer? i.e windows xp or windows vista or windows 7 etc ..etc.. Let me give you the specific solution rather assuming. For windows, it's more or less similar but I don't wanna add another confusion.

of course you need a power suply and a cord...how do you want to run ??/ the port is just for communication with the pc ...take a better look and you will find the plug for power...Usually it is a symbol or power written aside

seems a case of carriage jam n needs servicing..
howevr, do it if ur printer is out of warranty and u r a professional..
check for loose/faulty carriage-belt and the drive-assembly..jammed/sticky cleanser-unit (esp the rubber, gears n base)..
also chance of defective/faulty photo/opto-coupler 'sensor(s)'..the diodes and resistors in dis section..
always better to hv professional supervision, contact ur system admin/vendor....

One or both print cartridges are defective.Try to change first color cartridge, if not help change black too.

I usually face the following problem while giving printing command to my printer:\r\n
1. On clicking print from file meno the printer does not print and the yellow light upwards starts blinking.
2. Reinstalled the printer after inserted the Printer Software *C6464-10018* v 41 *MacOS 8.1*USB
but printing did not start from this even.
3. sometimes earlier I experienced that only 2-3 lines get printed and after that the upper yellow light again started blinking.
4.Some times the printer goes on sucking papers and prints as the signs of playing cards or some other abnormal shapes lining etc.
Please be kind enough to solve my all such problem and if possible point out step by step action to be taken by me during such an eventuality at a later stage also.
